My mood while writing this blog: good!

Friday brought us our two week checkup, so off we went. Connor had a pro d day from school so he came along. As of the friday before (one week old) caelum weighed 7 lbs 11 oz, so he's gained back his birth weight of 7lbs 10 and added an ounce. as of this tues (4 days later) he was at 8 lbs 3.5 oz and as of yesterday (two week check) he was at 8lbs 9oz! piglet!!! he is like connor in that he had no intention at all of nursing, so is formula fed. I was hoping to at least pump but i can't produce enough without him latching on. i'm thinking of getting a lactation aid before i stop producing completely to allow him to drink formula from the bottle through a tube, laying on the breast which will encourage him to nurse as well. it didn't work with connor but might as well give it a try! we'll see! Bruce has been an angel and let me sleep all last night and will tonight as well. Caelum is sleeping really well at night now, ever since we took him to the chiropractor! i highly recommend this to anyone who has a colicky, fussy baby! they do not crack them at this age but rather gently massage the spots that are tight! we've been three times now and since the first time, caelum has slept at night only getting up to have diaper changed or to eat! then he goes right back to sleep. he also has more alert time during the day! its amazing to watch the dr feel his back for the tight spots and to see his response when she finds one and then again to see his response when it's released! it's truly amazing! it helps that we are good friends with the main chiropractor there and trust her and her staff.
