09-12-2009 - new photos and update

My mood while writing this blog: good, tired

Hi everyone,

it's been a while since i've posted and even been on here! i hope everyone is well! we are doing great. Caelum slept for almost 5 hours straight last night, still no longer than that though and those nights are still rare. He was doing so well for a while, then shifted. Oh well! night before last and the one before that, he slept seriously for 15 min at a time! not pleasant...he seems to know when i'm soooo tired after several days of this and then he'll have one good night...never more than one in a row though. oh well, hopefully he'll grow out of that soon! a few more months and we can start him on baby cereal, that'll help fill him up! right now he's on 6 oz bottles, about 7 or 8 per day, sometimes a lot more. he weighed almost 12 lbs two weeks ago and we have an appt tomorrow so i'm curious to see what he weighs. The size 1 diapers are getting a little tight so am thinking we're pushing 14 lbs. i'll let you know!

If anyone looked at the last picture that i posted previously, it was of a little girl named Jessica who was meeting her idol Zac Efron. Jessica was diagnosed with a brain tumour in 2008, and as of sept 25 this year was in remission. Sadly that was shortlived as she found out in mid oct that the tumour was back and this time inoperable. The doctors gave her days to a week at most at that time.....she fooled them all for a while longer. As you may notice by my emoticon at the top of this update, there is a new angel in Heaven. Jessica Faith earned her angel wings around 9pm on Nov 29. Now she is at peace. We are attending her celebration of life ceremony at her school this weekend.

I hope this finds everyone well; take a minute to hug your children and loved ones even closer as you never know what life has in store.
