08-2-2010 - 17 weeks

My mood while writing this blog: great

So here we are at 17 weeks! Caelum is doing great! He was weighed last thurs and weighed in at 16 lbs 10 oz! yup he's a butterball! he's in 6 - 9 month clothing now, mostly for the width, not necessarily the length. Connor was exactly the same at this age too. caelum started rice cereal a few weeks ago, and has within the last week and a half, graduated to sweet potates, bananas and peaches. He loves the sweet potatoes best of all! he was drinking lots of formula but was getting very frustrated by it, and was staring at our food and getting mad, so we made the decision to start him on baby food a bit early. When connor was little, the suggestion was at 4 months old, he started at 12 weeks on cereal b/c he was at that time consuming 72 ounces of formula every day. That's 8 nine ounce bottles! it was insane! Caelum doesn't eat quite that much but almost! he's eased up a bit on the formula now though that he's eating the baby food.

We had our prenatal reunion this past saturday; that was lots of fun, to see all the little ones and we took the obligatory picture of all the babies on the sofa!!
