| 03-10-2008 - Oh the pain! | My mood while writing this blog:hurting! |
On Monday I started getting this pain. It started in my chest (i know, scary, right?) then it felt like it pushed its way through to my back, causing my whole back to spasm, then wrapped itself around my very big belly. It lasted anywhere from 30 minutes to 2 hours at a time. Nothing helped, except sleep. My husband thought I was having contractions, but dear God, if a contraction felt like that and lasted for that long, I seriously doubt that anyone would ever get pregnant, ever!
Today I went to the doctor for my 32 week checkup and he diagnosed me with acid reflux. I had no idea that it could present that way...I just thought you felt it in your belly/esophagus, I thought it was like a burning sensation. This was no burning! Just pain pain pain. The doctor presecribed me Zantac 150 twice a day, which I hope works. I haven't been able to eat or drink much, I lost 3.5lbs in the last week and am so freaked out about getting dehydrated, but water hurts soooo bad to drink! I took my first pill as soon as we got home from the pharmacy. Hopefully! HOPEFULLY!! all will be well!
In other news, my baby boy turned! He is head down over my cervix and pushing on it (a little more discomfort, but at least I know why!) however!! His sister also turned and she is now breech! *sigh* Oh my wild children. I really think they aren't happy unless they are in the position to kick each other in the head. :) The doctor says that after my U/S next week he'll probably pencil me in for a C-Section in the beginning of November, just in case. I am still hoping that I will be able to deliver vaginally, so we shall see!
