13-11-2008 - LOL, EWWW!

My mood while writing this blog: silly

So, yesterday the babies both lost their umbilical cord stumps.

Erik and I have been dreading this happening, because we were both kind of grossed out by those little dried out pieces sticking out of their belly buttons. (Plus one time when I was changing Connor, he shifted and his belly button moved up over the stump and I SWEAR it looked like the damn thing winked at me. I seriously almost passed out) Anyway, we kept trying to guess who would be the one changing the babies when it happened.

HA! It wasn't me!!! Erik got both of them. First he was changing Connor and all of a sudden he's all "OH MY GOD!!!" so naturally I'm freaking out like WTF??? so I run over to him and he's staring at the baby looking horrified. He's all "It fell off!" LOL Poor Daddy. Then when he was changing Mina *hers* fell off! I couldn't stop laughing at him, it was so awesome. (i'm such a nice wife, huh?)

So now my babies have perfectly adorable belly buttons and I don't have to cover their bellies when I change them (I'm a wimp, I know!) Today we're going to give them their first non-spongebath baths, we'll see what hilarity ensues :)
