My mood while writing this blog: tired |
October 17, 2007
So I know it has been awhile
since I have typed anything down but here it goes. So far everything in
the 2nd trimester is going pretty good. The nausea is way down but the
sleeping problems are all the same. I have to wake up 2-4 times a night
to go to the bathroom. Some nights I can't sleep at all others I can
but then have the weirdest dreams. Not dreams about my fears...but odd
strange why the heck did I have a dream like that dream? LOL. Oh well I
guess I don't have to many fears right now except the part where I go
into labor in February. Heh. I just don't know how I will handle it. I
have a high tolerance for pain but I don't know about that. Um. Like I
said nausea has gone down but heartburn is going up. I never have
heartburn but I have it where it is just enough to annoy you but not go
away ...but yet not painful I am going to die kind.
Last week
I had leg cramps and I never ever ever ever want to have those again.
They hurt so bad! I had to walk them out because my husband tried to
massage them but it didn't work. I give him kudos though for trying.
Then my legs were sore for like 2 days not fun. I started taking
potassium and making sure I stretch out my legs before I get up and
before I pass out. I also try to stretch before I know I have a lot of
walking to do. So let's hope that helps that problem. Though I was told
that if I do have them again to stretch my toes towards my head so it
will help stop the problems. I repeat as well though.....I hope I never
ever ever ever have them again. :)
August 2, 2007
Man it's 2:16 a.m. and I just emailed my in-laws telling them bits
about whats going on so far. I SO miss them. They live 2500 miles away
and I tell you its annoying. Sometimes me and my husband talk about
moving back but we know we would be at square 1 financially and not be
able to do to much ......not even have a house to ourselves. So we go
back to well we have a house here.........we both have jobs..etc. etc.
I know my husband misses his parents alot especially with us expecting
our little one. I know he wants to just be able to go over and visit
and help with any projects they have going on and he misses his moms
potatoes. Don't ask me why but I can't figure out how to make them like
she does and all she does is put salt on them, wrap in foil and put in
oven. I think she is magical. I try and I don't even come close. LOL I
guess its just knowing you are there and can enjoy there company I
think that is what it is. I miss hearing my in-laws voices and I mean
not just talking on the phone...which renews us but it's still hard not
having to be able to walk down the road or drive and boom your there.
I try to be supportive to my husband on the above matter....I have my
family here and so I know it's hard for him. He is the man though and
tries not to show much emotion that way but I know if we were
financialy secured and he had a job down there and we knew we had a
house on the way or something we would be there NO problem. I can't
wait until their here in February to hold there grandchild because that
means we can talk with them face to face and just enjoy there company.
Just thinking about them being to hold there grandchild for the first
time just brings tears to my eyes. Heck just waiting to see my husband
hold his son/daughter for the first time does the same thing. Our
little one is going to be sooo spoiled by all the family and love I am
impressed.
I have like 6 aunts and 1 uncle on my moms side
and well I only really know 1 aunt and verily know my uncle. My dads
side well let's just say there religion has made it hard to know any of
them....cept the ones who didn't believe what they did. I knew some of
my dad's siblings and I hate to say it but out of the like 8 brothers I
have only really known 2 who were awesome. (Fredonia, Arizona was named
after my ucle Fred :) ) He was awesome he kept the town going because
he kept logging in the area which made sure people who lived and worked
with him there had money to buy food and pay for bills. So they named
the town after him. My aunt still lives there and she has some
grandkids of her own. But anyways not alot on there side either. I want
my child to know all there relatives especially grandparents. I really
didn't get along with either side grandparents.......sad really but my
child will know there grandparents on both sides.
Well I
think I have ranted my self out today. I am not exhausted as I have
been in the past weeks and haven't needed a nap lately..but I am trying
not to over do it. I have a month to go to get myself back into the
beat of working 7 hours a day until I give birth to the little one. I
have to say so many blessings and love from family really is awesome. I
am almost 3 months pregnant and I tell you I am definitely counting
blessings every day!!!!
July 23, 2007
Couldn't sleep so
it's 1:48am LOL. I added a few things to website (mostly everything
below) just wanted to put how things were going as of yet. I am going
insane because I won't get the next ultrasound until 20 weeks. I am
being somewhat impatient and I tell you I am trying to get better. They
won't do the ultrasound before that unless something is wrong. So I
guess when I get to 20 weeks and get that ultrasound I will be
extremely grateful. I count my blessings everyday.
I haven't
started to bleed or spot since the 4th. I am extremely grateful for
that and I am definitely counting my blessings as well as the seconds,
minutes, hours and days. I am truly blessed to carry this little spirit
within me now. Seven years ago I had a miscarriage and I didn't even
know I was pregnant. I was in a very bad relationship and because so I
was very depressed. Having that miscarriage was rough afterwards the
realization that I was pregnant and now I wasn't all in the same
day.....terrifying.
Today I am married to a most wonderful man
..... I love him sooo much. Going through this pregnancy and all the
hormones is tough and if he wasn't beside me it would be hard. I know
many people are single throughout their pregnancies and what-not but I
hope no one has to do it alone and if they are ... I hope they have the
support of their families. My older sister is lucky in that aspect as
well as my second to youngest sister. I will always be there for them
for as much as I can for them. Hopefully they will be there for me as
well.

* Baby
is now called a fetus in "medical terms". You, however, may have chosen
the name "peanut," "angel," "jumping bean" or simply "miracle." (Me:
Beanie Baby Husband: comma Dad's reply to husband: Well least its not a
question mark. My response: Technically it is a question mark because
we don't know if the baby is a girl or boy. Father-in-law: Well be glad
its not quotation marks. Not sure if my Mother-in-law said anything
about that but her heart is swelling with pride anyways LOL I LOVE my
in-laws)
* The most critical part of your infant's development
is complete. Now you are headed into a period of rapid growth. (I have
gained 5 pounds so far)
* While a bit strange to envision, your
baby's head is now about half its length - Soon the rest of the body's
growth will catch up but this area is prepared to keep up with the
rapid brain development! (I am going to have a baby genius!)
*
Eyelids fuse shut and irises begin to develop - Eye color is also
determined by this point. (My eye color is hazel.......mood hazel. LOL
depends on my mood. They go from blue to gray to green. I wont tell you
what each one means!"
* Placenta begins to function this week or
next - The placenta is the organ responsible for both the provision of
nutrients along with the removal of waste to keep your baby growing
strong! (Well least we know having to pee every 30 minutes isn't an
entire waste :P )
* Your baby will be about 1.22 inch long
(3.1cm) and weigh 0.14 ounce (4gm) at the end of this week (Grow baby
Grow! Mommy wow I'm a fetus now! ...Though I believe from conception on
is a human life.)
July 17, 2007
Signed up for this
website and I am enjoying everything about it as of yet. I love being
able to post on here and get several responses from people. I
especially enjoy the week by week forums. It's great.
July 4, 2007
Oh
man I sneezed/coughed and it hurt like heck. I started to spot but it
was brownish in color. I promptly made sure I was in bed all day and
drank lots of liquids. I didn't spot a lot but I wanted to be on the
safe side.
So I stayed in bed as long as possible and went to a
bridal shower at my moms. It was for my brothers fiance. It was fun and
then we had lunch buffet style. I was craving hoagies that day and my
mom had everything for them to make. LOL. My mom is sooo intuitive most
the time don't ask me how she knows things. That's why I love her
though.
July 3, 2007
Got a call from my doctor I think
she apologized a million times. I told her everything was ok what else
was I to tell her....me and my baby are doing good. :) The way she
sounded was as if I was going to yell at her at any moment. I didn't
see the point I mean yes that was kinda annoying and a huge roller
coaster ride on the emotional stream but hey we're all human!
July 2, 2007
I
woke up around 10:30 a.m. and immediately called my doctor's office.
Went to bathroom and no bleeding. They got me in for an emergency
ultrasound at 1pm. Greg and I went in and they did the u/s and
everything was okay. The ultrasound tech said the baby was implanted at
a good place and we could see the little heart beating at 117bpm. After
seeing everything was okay we left to go home and I got a call on my
cell phone. "The doctor can't see the amniotic sac and you have an
abnormal pregnancy you need to come in and get an RH factor test." So
at that point we immediately turn around and I go give 3 vials of blood
to them and then we leave again. Yet again my cell phone rings. "We are
extremely sorry but the doctor did not look at all the ultrasound
pictures and you have a perfectly normal pregnancy." I told them that I
was glad and I hung up the phone. I then began to ball like a baby.
What an emotional roller coaster ride.
I call my mom and was
told that she went through something similar with me as well. The
doctors thought I was an tubal pregnancy. They put my mom under and
when she woke up the next day. "You're baby is okay!" That was the
first thing they said. She was sooo relieved and so am I. LOL
July 1, 2007
So
around 10pm that night I started to bleed as in bright red blood. I
called my mom who told me to get bed rest and called one of the doctors
that was on call for that night. She told me the same thing and said
plenty of bed rest and lots of liquids. She continued to tell me about
how I have a 50% chance of having a miscarriage. I calmly told her okay
then hung up and went and laid down on the couch. I probably didn't
fall asleep till 7am that morning but I remained laying there.
June 22, 2008
Went
to a another doctor because mine was on vacation and got a test done to
verify the pregnancy. POSITIVELY POSITIVE! Me and my husband were so
ecstatic that we forgot to wait for the doctor to give us the numbers
to some OB's LOL. They called us later on in the day with the info. :)
June 17, 2008
The
day before I was very irritated about something and went to bed the
same. When I woke up I was still very irritated and was like ..Okay
this is crazy what is going on??? So I take a pregnancy test and it
says pregnant. I walk into the bedroom where my husband was just waking
up and with shaking hands ask him if it definitely says I am pregnant.
Him being a smarty pants replies, " I dunno I can't see without my
glasses." So after making him put his glasses on he looks and says,
"Yep it says your pregnant."
So we preceded to tell everyone
about it. I know some people say wait till your 3 months but I was just
to excited. Greg found out he was going to be a daddy on fathers
day........and his dad is going to be a grand-father. This will be my
in-laws first grandbaby!Saturday, 10 Nov
Hrm just wanted to test this out.
Thursday, 15 Nov
Okay
I am not sure who posted this...but it had to do with you thought your
little one had a hiccup but then it lasted longer than a hiccup should.
I had a similar situation and it only happened once. My doctor told me
that it was okay but if it happened all the time then I should
definitely call her and let her know what is going on. Oh and also on
the fact someone woke up and felt pregnant and then the next day they
didn't ...she says thats perfectly normal as well. Oh and my friends
said I shouldn't have eggnog.....my doctor said the only thing to watch
out for is the sugar in it thats it. She saw no reason why I couldn't
have a cup of it at all. Now if it was an alcoholic drink then NO. Not
that anyone on here said I couldn't have any eggnog but just incase
someone tells you that hehehe. (side note) had an appointment today and
did a glucose test and urine etc..I have to take 2 iron pills a day
now. blah but my glucose came out fine. When the doctor tried to find
the heart beat the baby kept kicking the doppler LOL. I was getting a
kick out of it and got a look from my doctor...I'm sorry my baby is a
good aim! LOL
Sunday, 9 Dec
I have an u/s appointment on
the 20th! I can't wait...heheh but I guess I will have too. It is to
find out how big the baby is and what the gender is. Is it the 20th
yet???
Wednesday, 12 Dec
As far as growth goes, your
baby's still on a roll, measuring an impressive 18 inches and weighing
in at more than three pounds. You can still expect your baby to gain at
least three to five pounds, possibly more, before you two meet.
Your
baby's brain is working overtime these days, developing faster than
ever. Connections between individual nerve cells are growing at a
frenetic clip, and your baby can now perceive information from all five
senses. Sure, your baby can't smell anything right now, but that's only
because he or she is still submerged in amniotic fluid and needs to be
breathing air to get a whiff of anything. Lucky for you — and your
baby — yours will be one of the very first scents your baby breathes
in, a scent that will quickly become his or her very favorite.
So
what's your little dove doing all day while you're busy feathering your
nest for his or her arrival? Making faces, hiccupping, swallowing,
breathing, pedaling with little hands and feet along your uterine wall,
and even sucking his or her thumb. In fact, some babies suck their
thumbs so vigorously while in the womb that they're born with a callus
on their thumb (what a little sucker!).
Thursday, 20 Dec
It's
a girl!!!!! Caitlin Jean!!!!!!!!!!
woooooooooooooohoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo. :) I cried
all the way from the doctors office to my mom's house. LOL. I should of
gone home first and gotten myself under control but I was so excited!
LOL. WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
Friday, 21 Dec
LOL. Someone
explain this to me.. I have been eating non-stop these last 2-3 weeks
and I feel like I have gained a ton but when I went in for my 2 week
checkup I didn `t even gain an ounce?!?! EH?! LOL.
Monday, 31 Dec
My
christmas was AWESOME. My in-laws came down and helped pick out a
stroller/baby seat combo. They brought LOTS of pink clothes. LOL. My
mother-in-laws sister bought me some awesome fabric scissors so when I
am cutting out the 3 buntings I am making the baby because of the
weather here ....it will be over with. :) I enjoyed there visit
tremendously and I miss them because they had to go back home! The bad
thing about the visit though is I was sooo tired. I would be up for 2-3
hours at night ...then sleep in till 10 a.m. That was hard because I
wasn `t able to spend more time with them. I know they understood but I
felt sooo bad. :( Oh well my mother-in-law commented on how relaxed she
felt visiting. YAY! Oh and the baby goodness she was active the whole 3
days I think. Talk about crazy!!!! OH.....do NOT take sudafed PE. DO
NOT! It is a vessel constrictor. I took one dose and I couldn `t
understand why I was soooo miserable. The baby hated it as well.
OMGoodness. It scared the living crud out of me. I had a dream I had to
go to the hospital. I do not have high blood pressure either. So it
shouldn `t of affected me the way it did. I should of talked to my
pharmacist bout it and he would of told me to get the regular
Sudafed...not the sudafed PE. UGH I felt soooooooo bad. I think I have
apologized to my baby a million times because of it. I am dealing with
a cough...lots of sinus congestion and I tell you what I would rather
have the synchronized nasal breathing than deal with that horrible
feeling again. EVER. To make a long story short.....always consult with
your pharmacist....and if it conflicts with your doctor get the know
why on it. I was told about the vessel constriction and I almost passed
out. I DID WHAT TO MY BABY!?! Luckily I feel soooo much better and baby
seems to be back to normal...and no more dreams about going into labor.
Hope everyone has a great new years! I plan on cutting out the last of
the baby stuff I will be sewing up and then I can spend some time at my
mom `s with a few family members...and maybe there will be pizza...I
have been craving pizza........LOL.
Saturday, 5 Jan
I
actually went into an doctors appointment because I was having
contractions from last night till well still having them but from last
night till 4pm they were 3-5 minutes apart but now they kinda stopped I
`m still having a few but not as bad as earlier.............so now I
have to go in every week ...bah... oh well I `m just glad I am not
having the little one now!!! When they took my blood pressure to begin
with it said 160 over whatever ......but the doctor retook it and it
was down to 136..so he stopped panicking because of that. Cervix he
said was fine though. The doctor said he wouldn `t be surprised if I
have the baby within the next 2 weeks. I just want to make it to
February!!!!The cool thing though is since I had to go to a doctor that
was on call by the hospital I was able to go in an pre-register. So
that is out of my hair now. Now all I have to do is install car seat
and put my bag together and Im done with what I have to do! Yay!
Tuesday, 8 Jan
Wow
bed rest is so much fun........I got my bag ready yesterday well all I
have to buy now is those super soaker pads. LOL. Anyways this whole day
has been SOOOO boring. I slept 3/4th of the day. BORING. I did get a
little reading done though.
Wednesday, 9 Jan
Well my
doctor confirmed it I am definitely on bed rest. Good thing it isn `t
continuous just modified. :( Stupid high blood pressure only went down
to 130/70. On thursday it was 136 over something. I `m not too happy
because thats all I have been on since Thursday is bed rest and
aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa. Oh well. I have to definitely
go in every week as well. If I get a headache, see spots or get bad gas
like pains near my sternum(that doesn `t go away in a day) I am to call
my doctor right away. I just hope my blood pressure continues to go
down. If not then who knows what will have to be done. I just want to
make it to 37 weeks..........thats all. I just don `t want a c-section
at all. I understand if it is unavoidable then so be it but I really
don `t want to have one .........its better if the baby is born
vaginally. :P I don `t care who you are .....c-sections have to suck
...you have longer recovery time and its not good for baby because
there are several processes that happen when the baby is born naturally
and not c-section. It `s a very interesting process and I would get
into it if I wasn `t soooo tired. Gotta go lay down and listen to the
doctor. :( Please god let my blood pressure go down!
Thursday, 10 Jan
Well
...I went to my pcp today he will also be my baby `s pediatrician as
well. I just switched over to him as well. I am sooo glad I did. He is
awesome. I thought I was going to waste an appointment because I just
really wanted to know my blood pressure was and to talk to him about
when the baby is born etc. He checked everything...my legs to see the
swelling and my eyes to make sure everything looked okay and then he
checked the fundus(stuff that is on top of uterus) I mean he asked me a
million questions ...in which my OB never tells me LOL. He also did a
urine test just to verify my body wasn `t dumping protein in the urine
as well. That came out good( I always have to do a urine test at my ob
visits but they never tell you anything. If it `s bad definitely tell
me but if its good let me know as well!). Not only that but he gave me
a blood pressure machine to use until the baby is born. No more having
to run to the local store to take BP. Or waiting for another doctors
appointment. I feel like I hit the jackpot! LOL. I am still on modified
bed rest (okay so it has only been a few days) but when you are on bed
rest it feels like time crawls on. I do have to take my bp 3 times a
day though. This morning at my 8 a.m. appointment my blood pressure was
130/76 when I took it at 12pm it was 113/61. It will be interesting to
see if there is a pattern or what. Here `s to hoping that my bp stays
down. I also am thankful for everyone on this site who has given me
hope that I can do something about my bp...either with recipes or just
tips on what and how to do things. Thanks!
Thursday, 17 Jan
I
just want to let you guys know my blood pressure is down now and I am
off bed rest again. Anyways last night (15th) I went into false labor
which isn `t good because I have to make it 2 more weeks then my doctor
won `t stop me or anything. I got a lecture for not calling the doctor
the first hour I was having contractions 1-2 minutes apart. I KNOW I
KNOW....but I had this on the 4th as well so I thought it was just
false labor again. So now if I have 4 bh `s in an hour or
contractions..(the ones last night I had to actually stop and breathe
thru) or leak ...bleed any of that I have to call my doctor RIGHT away.
:( Well I am going to go lay down now because I am still sooo sore from
last nights falsies.
Saturday, 19 Jan
If anyone knows
how to fast forward me 1 1/2 weeks from now.......I would appreciate
it. LOL. I am at the point of I have a few weeks left of been preggers
and I am done. LOL. I am just physically done. I am not rushing my
little one to come out .....cause she can `t till I am least 37 weeks
considered full term. These past few weeks have felt like I have just
gone through this pregnancy again..........just dragging on.........and
on. I know I have to stay patient and keep myself going because
technically I have 30 days to go but man is it tough. I just want to
meet my daughter already!!!She already has a personality lol. That and
I want to get through the labor and delivery already. ;) Get that out
of the way! hehe. Well here is to hoping these next few weeks go by
quickly and the next pictures I post will be of my darling little
girl!!!!!
Sunday, 20 Jan
Well it happened again
tonight......contractions 2-3 min apart lasting about 1 min each. After
calling my doctor I was told to walk around............and they went
form 1 min to about t45 seconds long and 1-2 min apart. Me and my
husband decided to just go home and let me relax...........Well hard to
lay down because my back is killing me .........so thought I might as
well get on here and post update. Oh and don `t drink to much water
when having contractions.........ugh I just want to yack. Well here is
to hoping I can make it a few more days.
Monday, 21 Jan
Went
shopping today and my hips are killing me. Baby dropped. Gonna probably
lay down for the rest of the day hope my hips will agree!!!!!
Sunday, 27 Jan
heh
my labor prediction ...Get your bags packed early just in case you need
them. Make sure your partner has a phone available when he `s away
because this baby just might come early. We predict your baby will come
2-3 weeks early. Your baby will most likely be born in the morning.
Justmommies predicts that your baby will weigh approximately 6.3 pounds
and that your labor will be about 15 hours long.
Sunday, 27 Jan
Went
into hospital at 1:30 am. last night and was monitored for an
hour.........contractions were getting harder but since I am only
dilated 1 cm they sent us home..........They gave me and ambien and wow
that stuff is ....weird........ I didn `t even make it home it started
to affect me........everything was melting together when I would try to
focus on it. I remember trying to make it through the house to the
bedroom.........sitting down and then nothing .........hehe.
Monday, 28 Jan
Well
finally baby is head down.....the sonographer said baby weighs around 7
lbs....(could be off) if she is I hope it is by 1/2 pound.....so she
would be 6 1/2 LOL. Anyways everything looks good......so now I feel
better now. If my baby actually decides to come (false labor #4 this
month) then she will be good weight wise anyways. Lets hope her little
lungs are doing good as well.(think her head measured 33cm by 37cm will
have to figure out that all later of how big it actually is LOL
hopefully not toooo big) :) Gratziola to all those who have had your
little ones already and...for us who are still waiting....I hope we all
have a little more patience..(even though I know its hard at this
point.) Take care :)
Sunday, 3 Feb
Had baby shower
today...got lots of cute clothes and receiving blankets ..as well as
some nice soft fleece blankets. :) Had a lovely time ..and the food was
great LOL. Now I am tiiiiiiireeeeeed. No baby though :( ....lots of bh
`s but I `m not timing those there falsies. :P *mumbles* LOL will be on
later!
Friday, 8 Feb
Well last night was fun. I was
having the typical false labor time. My tummy was soooo sore. Anytime
the baby moved in between contractions .......would make it worse. I
was hurting so bad last night I made my husband wake up and massage my
back and feet. I have an appnt. at 3:30pm in just 5 hours so we will
see what is going on. If anything. It was a hard night.
Sunday, 10 Feb
Well
sorry didn `t update doctor appoint. Well went in and no change in
dilation or effacement. *sigh* I have another appointment this
Friday....then we will talk about inducing. I am so hoping I don `t
have to be induced......I `m not to happy. I want the baby to come one
her own...who knows maybe she will before Friday..*shrugs* feeling
pretty down right now.
Thursday, 14 Feb
Well I
survived my night last night. Temperature spiked to 100.3. I am just
verily able to keep apple juice down me and a piece of toast. Gonna try
to get an appt for today to make sure baby is doing good. I know baby
did not like the hot temperature at all.....so I `m a little concerned
today about that. Still shaky and sweating a lot. I hope I can get in
and baby is just fine.
Friday, 15 Feb
So went in for
an emergency doctor visit because of the virul thing I had yesterday
and puking all day .......baby wasn `t moving much. Until they put on
the monitor ........then it was like rockin rodeo in there. I `m like
sheeesh scare momma will ya!!! Heh. So anyways baby is doing fine! We
have an induction date for the 19th at 7pm.
