17-8-2009 - 12 weeks

My mood while writing this blog: bored at work

Went to the doctors on Friday, 8/14 to meet the actual doctor. (first appointment was with a nurse practioner). I was expecting a quick appointment, check for the heart and uterus size blah blah blah...and then I get in there and the nurse says "Ok, I need to you to take everything off put the gown on, time for the full physical" I just was not prepared for that mentally ;) And it was sweltering in there so I was sweating uncontrollably...not my finest moment. Anywho, the Dr. came in and checked everything out, she said the my BP was kind of high, the top number was ok but the bottom was at 91. It is lower than my first appointment but still not so good. She also said that I have protein in my urine and that I will most likely have to go to a high risk specialist doctor at another practice. She said that this is not going to be an easy pregnancy which is scary, but I am praying for the best. I am scheduled to go to the high risk dr. next week so we will see what they say.

I had one minor encounter with morning sickness one day before work and other than that I have been trying REALLY hard to fight it off!! It has not been nearly as bad as when I was pregnant with Lucas which is a HUGE blessing. Now I am just trying to keep my belly full so I don't begin to feel nauseous...And other than that I am feeling great!! Tiredness has backed off and all is well!!
