10-8-2009 - Feeling large...my hips have spread 4"!!!

Does anyone else feel like their butt/thighs got enormous while pregnant? I have gained 35 lbs and I am 37 weeks along but I just never thought my hips would spread 4"!!!!!! I mean, I already had big hips, they were 42" to start with so I never thought in a million years that my hips would grow and additional 4"! Now they are 46" and I am devastated because I cant foresee them shrinking back to their original 42" post baby!!

It had taken me years to accept my 42" hips and I finally had embraced them as I am 30 years old and over 6'0" tall but now the thought of having to get an entirely new pant wardrobe (not easy when your 6'3" and wear a 36"-37" inseam) is depressing me.

I guess I will just have to wait and see what happens post-baby and hope for the best.

Does anyone have thoughts or experience with the "BELLY BANDIT"?? Im debating on whether or not Ishould buy a belly bandit or an abdominal brace of some sort to help the muscle's tighten???

Hi,I've gained 44lbs to date. I gained the same amount of weight with my first baby and lost it all again in no-time but that was 9 years ago... I might not be so fortunate this time.My butt, hips, thighs have swollen and you can see the excess weight in my face as well. I'm just going to try and eat as healthy as possible and hope that the breast-feeding sheds the pounds for me.

I so understand what your saying. I feel huge all over, I just tell my self that as soon as the baby is out im going on a healthy diet plan, I am determined to fit back into my skinny jeans. I've also been wondering about the belly bandit, its kinda pricey so I was going to buy the cheaper one from babies r us its only $20-$25. Let me know if you hear anything on the belly bandit.
