09-7-2008 - Heart Murmur

My mood while writing this blog: Thankful

We just got back from our appointment with the Cardiologist and things went wonderfully. She has an innocent murmur that should never pose a threat to her health. He wants to see her back in a year to check up on it but says she is as healthy as can be. Lovely!

Also, Alex showed up! I was shocked., still in shock. I emailed his brother last night about the appointment and he must have convinced Alex to go. It went very well. He asked the doctor questions and really participated. I'm so happy, this is all I could have hoped for. For the longest time, all I've wanted from him is to show he cares. Not about me anymore but atleast for Savannah. It's been over a month since she has seen him but she did recognize him. Then she cried pretty hard when he held her but eventually she fell asleep in his arms. It was sweet. He walked her to the car, put her in her carseat and walked away. I guess he is still showing me how pissed he is or that he doesn't care about me...who knows, who cares? He did look pretty cute though but not cute enough to want him back.

Shelly, I'm so happy to hear the great news even about Alex. I would have been as happy as you that he took the time to go see the doctors with you and Savannah. Hopefully this is the beginning of many more Savannah and daddy time together. And did I mention how beautiful Savannah is?

Oh I am so happy lil Savannah is doing well. My sister had a heart murmor that did not effect her at all either. I did not know u were doing the single mom thing...good for u...stay strong. I had to deal with a ex husband as well with my son..it got easier eventually..just took some time for all those feelings to fade. Good luck to u and Savannah is such a cutie!!

Savannah is such a doll and I am SO happy to hear the good news about the heart Murmor! I am very happy for you that Alex showed up...and even if he is trying to prove some point that he is still angry w/you, by you being nice and appreciative for him coming to her appointment that just might throw him off and eventually he will get over what ever issues he has with you and realize it's just about Savannah at this point!! I was a single mom for SEVERAL years w/ both of my 1st two kids...I know how hard it can be, and heart breaking!! Hang in there! You're doing a GREAT job w/her!!! Congrats on the good news! ;)
