17-7-2008 - Weight Issues

My mood while writing this blog: Ok

So I took Savannah back to the doctor today to check her weight and she still has not gained enough. The doctor is not too concerned but would like me to try and sneak another bottle in somewhere. She doesn't understand that this child has a tight lip lock that refuses even a drop over the amount she wants. I'll keep trying though.

How much does she weigh now? Des, my 1st, was 16 lbs at 1 year and 24 lbs her lst day of school. She started growing in the 2nd grade. Don't get me wrong, she's not the tallest but not the shortest either now.

I've got a friend who's little girl weighed 22 lbs when she was 1 yr old. She's 4 now and she litttle. She's just going to be a small girl. Try not to worry yourself about the weight thing. Feed her when you can and hug her like crazy!

I think all kids are different and she seems very health and happy by the pictures I have seen. My newphew who will be 5 in September is a little thing and I am sure that the wind will pick him up one day and blow him away. My cousin just got her oldest out of the car seat. She finally hit the 60 pound mark and she is already 10. I tell her all the time not to let people sneeze around her or we would loose her somewhere. She is my buddy and she is healthy and happy and a smart cookie. Sounds to me that the doctor isn't too worried about it. Just telling you to try and get another bottle in, if the doctor thought something was really wrong I believe he would have had some test done. Take care....

hey there... how much does she weigh? i just went for kayleys 6month shots-she will be 6 tomorrow- and she is 16 pounds and about 28 inches long... if she seems content i would not worry too much

Youknow hun my youngest daughter well I suppose also withmyoldest not so much now though, anyhow my youngest right nowwill be three insept she only weighs 23 pounds sheis really tiny! she wears size24months and sometimes I can get her into a 2t but they fall off her little waist my doctor says pedisure to helpher puton the pounds hopes this helps

Some babies are just small in nature. She looks healthy to me from your pics. Michael is a chunky monkey but he stopped gaining weight too. He only gained a pound between 4-6 months and 1/4 of a pound from 6-7 months.

She looks healthy to me...chubby lil cheeks... I think at some points our lil ones slow down in their weight gain...Ean only gained like 2 lbs between his 4month check up and his 6moth check up
