06-9-2008 - Daddy came over

My mood while writing this blog:
Happy

Savannah is sick. She has a cold which caused an ear infection but we went to the doctor and have medicine to treat it. Now I'm sick but getting better. I told Alex (Savannah's dad) that he is welcome to come over and help me out with Savannah while I try to recover. He showed up early today and was very helpful. He played with Savannah, fed her, rocked her and just hung out with us. She went down for a nap and he whispered to me, "Thank you for taking care of Savannah for me and you are doing a great job". He has NEVER been the type of person to say that but it felt so good to hear. So yes, I must admit, I gave it up to him ladies. It's almost been 4 months and a girl needs some lovin' too. Anyways, I feel very optomistic about us but I am very aware that anyone can change for one week. I'm not saying that I don't need to change too, God knows I've made my mistakes but I feel really good about all this so far. We need to take it very slow and we are but I get restless because I'm a go-go-go kinda girl. I'm just so thankful to have another chance at being a family. My heart is full.

I'm very happy for you. Sometimes you can't fix a marriage/relationship by staying in it, you have to separate to reconnect and appreciate things in eachother. I hope it works out for you - just remember, don't take him back until he's the man you want, you sound pretty happy on your own - make sure he's going to enhance your life - make it so much better! you deserve nothing less!!! and as for lovin' - I hope you got it good!! lol

What a great day!!! I understand where you are, and quite frankly I did the same thing with the father of my daughters after I left him the first time!! Of course, I ended up with a second wonderful surprise out of that experience!!!LOL it did not work out for us, but I really hope you get the chance to have the family you want!!
