Oh man, so glad to hear you are back on line! I wondered how you made out through the storm. I guess the aftermath is worse than the storm! We made it fine. We had gusts of 50-60mph, and rain all day on Saturday- We had a few downed trees and limbs but nothing too severe. We never lost power, which was a little shocking to me! We haven't heard from Robyns. I think she was in League City so I bet she's still out of power. Glad to see you are back on line and safe. We were all thinking about you this weekend. Good luck w/ the town's rebuilding! :)

Shelley, I'm so glad to hear you and Savannah are alright! I've been thinking about you guys daily since last week, hoping all is well. That's too bad about Savannah's dad's house, but ehhh ... I'm just glad you're okay!

You were the last on my list to hear from. Now that I know that my family and friends are well then I can breath. 4 bucks a gallon is pretty bad, I heard that some stations had it up to 6 bucks that is just said. My inlaws are in Hawaii and my mother inlaw told me that a loaf of bread over there is 7.96. My father inlaw said gas is terriable. Well I am just so gald that you are all okay. Hugs to you all.......

oh my god! I am so happy that things are OK. I would be freakin out too if I saw my baby sweating so bad. I used to live in northern florida and I remember those hurricanes. As a kid, I loved them, but when your a parent....oh god...scary business.
Anyways, thanks for your comment on my alcohol blog. I'll come to you with more venting when needed. Glad you guys are OK!

Whoo hoo! We are safe and with power! We even have cable and internet back on! I am in aww of how well we made out. We have minor damage, hardly any trees left around here. Still about 2 million without power, gas is friggin $4 a gallon if you can find it. Grocery stores are sold out of everything and the lines are horrific! I waited 2 hours for gas today, twice (to fill up my car and my moms). Not much is open and streets are still closed.
I'm just so glad to be in air conditioning again. It was extremely scary to watch Savannah take a nap covered in her own sweat and praying she isn't getting dehydrated and praying she'll drink enough liquids to be ok.
Savannah's dads house is swimming in the Gulf of Mexico somewhere. All of our work places are without power so we are just hanging out, enjoying our mini vacation I guess.
