16-5-2008 - 25 weeks pregnant

My mood while writing this blog: Happy but a bit fed up!

Well I thought it was probably about time I wrote something on here! I'm now 25 weeks gone and as much as I love this baby, I cant wait to not be pregnant anymore! I've had alot of problems so far, I've got quite severe SPD which makes every movement an effort and quite painful. I went into premature labour last weekend which thankfully, they were able to stop and I'm now just trying to take things easy, well as easy as you can with a 4 year old to run around after!. Also, my placenta is anterior so I'm not feeling an awful lot of movement yet. Sometimes it can be very active but most of the time its very quiet which always worries me a bit. But it'll all be worth it in the end! We dont know what we're having because my husband didnt want to find out. We're having a 4D scan on the 28th of may so I could find out then but I feel as though I've already waited 25 weeks, I might aswell wait another 15!
Abby is very excited about having a baby brother or sister. Shes a bit too impaitent to feel it move yet but shes heard the heartbeat on our at home heartbeat monitor. Abby was born with a serious heart defect called Tetrallogy of Fallots and has had to have 3 sets of open heart surgery when she was 6 weeks, 1 and 3 years old. Fingers crossed thats it now but as they develop surgery and medical treatment all the time its possible they might decide to operate again when shes about 10. It doesnt hold her back in anyway, she's very clever and active. The only thing she find's hard is sports as she gets a bit out of breath but other than that shes great! They havent been able to rule TOF in this baby but I'm really hoping it wont have the condition, but if it does then we'll deal with it! I think because of Abby's condition I'm a real worrier and get paranoid about lots of things.
Well all we really have now is the 4D scan coming up, I cant wait! Because of Abby's heart condition I've had 4 ultrasounds but all of them have just been focused on the baby's heart so I havent really seen this baby yet. I'm hoping the 4D scan is going to be a chance to see and bond with the baby.
We've got a couple of names, I like Amber Eve for a girl and Cory for a boy. My husband hates Cory though so I think it might be Theo or Charlie.

I LOVE the name THEO! Cory is okay but is all American for me. Charlie and Theo are brilliant but Theo pips Charlie to the post - just.
