27-10-2008 - 38 Weeks

My mood while writing this blog: busy

Today, at my 38 week visit, the doctor checked me for the first time. I was anxious and nervous to hear what he had to say. The vagnial check wasn't as bad as I had heard from previous chats on the subject. Yes, it was uncomfortable, but not nearly what I had expected. For anyone who hasn't had a vaginal check up, the doctor puts on a latex glove, lubes up his two fingers and inserts them into your vagina. I cringed and shut my eyes but before I knew it, it was over.

The results:

+ The baby had dropped

+ I was one cm dilated

+ and he said that he doesn't think I will make it to my due date.

Now, I hope this holds up because I am ready to have my baby be in my arms!!
