Today in class I started having contractions. Except these were not normal contractions. They were normal in the sense of your stomach tightening but they hurt. Then something different happened. I started having pains in the below you stomach where your pubic hairs are. I had a tightening there too and it was painful. This lasted throughout class and by the end my lower back ached so bad. I decided to skip my last class and head home. As I walked to my car I had to stop when I was having contractions because the pain was overwhelming. I got to my car and sat down, I felt instant relief. I drove an hour home feeling much better.
On the way to my house I called my doctor because I have never experienced this before to see what I should do. They told me if my contractions continued to come in. I got home, ate, and relaxed but was feeling my better so I waited until my 4 pm appointment.
I went to my appointment and the doctor said I was still 2cm dilated but now 50% effaced which was a change (I wasn't effaced at all before). He said he expected that my water would break on its own in the next couple of days but he was going to "try" to schedule and induction for Thursday..yeah right!! He said just in case he wanted me to schedule a Monday appointment.
So here I am, back throbbing and having contractions but no water breakage. And knowing my doctor I will be seeing him at my 41 week appointment because everything he has said has been wrong. So we'll see!
But I'm crossing my fingers for an induction on Thursday if I don't come sooner.
