25-6-2009 - Labor Scare: trip to the hospital

Tuesday started out amazing I had no pains anywhere I could get up out of bed without help and I was not to tired to get up and do things around and out the house so the day went by and I took my shower to lay down around 3 in the morning I woke up with sharp pains I tried to wake up Ramar but he was no help he was trying to rub my stomach and sleep at the same time and that was not working at all so the tears begun I got up and took a hot shower which usually makes me feel a lot better but it didnt work, finally I fell back to sleep and that morning was o.k until I notice that my otherwise active little girl had not moved and I had been up since 6am and it was almost ten so I drunk a couple of corbinated drinks nothing so I gave my doctor a call and the midwife called back and told me to go into the hospital to make sure everything was o.k. so when i get there I am thinking o.k an hour tops and I can go pick up the kids from summer camp because we only have one car and I had it so they hook me up and sure enough she starts moving all over the place so she told me to everything looked fine until she looks at the contractions chart and they are coming back to back but I wasnt feeling anything so she checked me and I was at 2 to 3 cenimeters which shocked me cause I was just at my doctor and I was 0 0 2 she I had to stay another 2 hours and get observed and checked again after being hooked up to IV's and giving fluids it seems like the contractions start hitting harder so I called ramar and let him know what was going and he started calling to find a ride there after a while The contarction became really painful and tears started again a used the call botton to get the nurse in there when she came in she checked me again i was a good 4 so I am on the go they called my doctor and I was being admited so I called ramar to see if he had a ride because we were having a baby today and he could not get and touch with any one my kids are at camp and I am heading to active labor so I explained to the nurses what was going on on and I let them know either way I had to go so I signed the paper saying I was leaving against medical advice and left with IV in my arm and it pouring raining and flooded so I speeding trying to get to my house which is about 30 min away from the hospital and having contractions at the same time so I get there get the babies and ramar he tries to rush me back to the hospital but by this time our whole street is flooded and we are going like 10 miles per hour when i finally made it to the hospital it was an hour later and still pouring I was put int he room set up for labor giving antibotics and explained that the baby would go straight to the nursery because I am only 35weeks by this time i am 5 to 6 5o% effaced and still a station 2 so I started praying because lord knew that I didnt want a pretermer with gods help by 8 the contractions stopped and so did the progress thank god so please girls pray for me so I can at least get to 37 weeks

Goodluck and if ur baby comes early then I hope it is extremely Healthy! Keep us posted! And tell u baby that It better wait another 2 weeks
