07-10-2009 - jacob update

My mood while writing this blog: ok

I had to take Jacob to the dr. today. Seems he's caught a cold :( He is however weighing in at 7lbs 10oz. and 20in. long!! A total gain of 2lbs and 1in. in the last 2 weeks. The did tell me though that he tested positive for the sickle cell C trait. Dr. says it's nothing to worry about but he will need to know it later in life so that he doesn't have children with anyone who might also carry the trait. Other than that things are good. I'm still without a job, but the guy Rich I have been seeing for a couple of months is fabulous with Jacob. BD still sucks. He's absolutely worthless. Rich asked me to marry him the other night. He is so sweet. Congrats to all our new mommies and labor dust to those waiting! Love you all!!

I am so glad you are doing so good girl. So what did you say? We are doing good BD is finially coming around and has been there. He was there when she was born and visit while we were in the hospital. We still have our moments but things seem to be looking up finailly after nine months of stress.
