Where has the time gone to? My babies will be 6months on the 8th of August and I cant believe how big they are? They are lovely and I feel so blessed. Ethan and Bailey are thriving and I owe it all to breast milk. It was very hard at first and I thought I wouldnt be able to breastfeed them but 6months down the road I am still breastfeeding them. It was one of the things I soo wanted to do because being a twin myself my mom breastfed us and I had read so much about the value and benefits and I so desparetely wanted to do it. I was not prepared for how difficult it could be and I was disappointed that my midwife had not prewarned me to read up and prepare for it. I had thought it would be simply "pop boob out and feed" and its way more than that. I now advise other twin moms to please read up and get prepared before hand.
I have my a routine of sorts and so far so good. They both feed at night so I sleep but I still get up . I have learnt to rest on snatches of sleep:)
Hubby has been soooo supportive and since I have had no other help than he has been great. We have decided Iwont be returning to full time work as I dont think until they are 2 years old I want anyone else looking after them. They are too precious. My life has purpose in a way it never has before. I am truely humbled by the gift of being a mom:)
I will write more tomorrow once I have uploaded new pics.
