| 26-6-2009 - Worry Wart |
My mood while writing this blog: Fine |
Ok, for some reason lately I have all these fears that there could be something wrong with my baby. I HAVE NO REASON to be feeling this way, I am just a big worry wart. Like....I keep thinking that he nose looked really small in the 20 week U/S and that could mean a sign of Downs, even though the doctor said everything looked great and measured normal. And all of these other diseases that I read about keep worrying me! Also, my 12 month old son goes for his shots next week and one of those is the contraversial MMR shot and I have been freaking out about that too! I am DRIVING MYSELF CRAZY and I will admit that the internet does not help me. Everytime I think of something that could go wrong I freak out and look it up on the internet and that makes me worry more!
Does anyone else ever do this to themselves?? I know that I worry too much about everything, but lately I have been going crazy! I don't even tell my husband about all of this stuff cause he will tell me that I cam crazy, hahah! Well I hope that everyone has a good weekend! I just had to vent!

Friday, 26 Jun Thinking of all this stuff sounds like you've got a case of the "Too Good Blues" That's when things are going too good you're expecting something bad to happen.... girl relax! Your baby is fine, that's why the doctors do all these U/S, so that if something looks suspicious they can alert you as soon as possible. No news is good news! As for the MMR shot, just have them separate the vaccine... that's what I would do. BREATH... have some faith in your little one! Peachy09 (Ashlyn) -
Friday, 26 Jun Plus...worrying really won't change anything. I got that way a few weeks before my son was born, & it's definitely easier said than done, but you've done everything you can for your baby, now it just needs a few finishing touches & to get bigger. And we just had the MMR shot about 2 weeks ago. The coincidence with the MMR is interesting, but you have to remember kids go for certain evaluations the same time they go for some of these shots & may learn what to look for based on the doctors observations. Finally, even if it's caused by one of these shots, it's RARE. Take some deep breaths & enjoy your pregnancy & son! heathert -
Friday, 26 Jun It is hard to have some worries but try to relax some. On the MMR talk to the Dr first, read the form about it, to find out the info you need. Or look on the CDC and you can get all the info on all the immunizations you need. Relax and vent if needed. Pretty Britty -
Friday, 26 Jun I agree, you need to stop worrying because, really, you can make yourself worry about just anything. My doctor made my husband hide all the books when I started going off the wall with silly stuff to stress over, and I took that as a sign to lay off the internet searches as well-- I was obviously going overboard, and mine and my baby's quality of life was suffering as a result.
