28-11-2009 - Cranky Baby!

My mood while writing this blog:
Tired

Wow, I haven't wrote a blog forver and I have not been keeping up with people....it's so hard when you are not in the same week together, I do miss that! I hope that everyone is doing good with their new little ones! I sure do have a cranky one. It has gotten a little worse lately, and of course at Thanksgiving EVERYONE thought they could diagnose while he was crying....people just shut up! The more I read about cranky/colic babies it says that it is usually the worse around 6 weeks and my little guy just turned 7 weeks today.....so hopefully we will be able to make him a little more happy! I just feel like every where I go I see all these quiet happy babies and parents talking about their newborns sleeping all night.........and I am like, WHAT?!?!?! are you for real and I the only one in this boat!?! I love being a mommy, but I just wish that someone I knew had a cranky baby too and not a little angel!

Well I hope that everyone had a good holiday.....I hope it didn't sound like I was complaining!!!!

I'm glad i read ur blog! Rhys is going to be 6 weeks on monday, and although I've seen and heard about babies that are * way* worse he does tend to et fussy at night.( my DH gets very fustrated with this). He also does not sleep He grunts and squirms all night. I dunno who these moms are who say their LO slept through the night at six weeks. I keep thinking maybe their baby weighs more or something. But I def feel like i'm alone in this boat of a somewhat cranky baby, but i keep thinking once I get to 3 months things will get better. cross ur fingers!

It is okay to feel the way you are! I, for the most part, feel that I have a "good baby". He mostly is just fussy and rarely crys to where he's screaming. But boy, last night he was fussing for 2hours straight and there was nothing wrong with him. He'd fall asleep in the rocker and the moment I laid him down he was crying... ugg! Most of the time these babies just don't know how to settle themselves. When I'm up at 2am I always think of you girls and that you're all probably doing the samething as me... it helps =) I keep saying this will pass, and then I know years from now I'll miss him being so small and needing all my care! Loads of luck babe! I'll be thinking of you tonight, LOL!!
