12-12-2009 - Thank You for Support

I just wanted to to a minute Thank all of you who commented on my last blog about depression and gave advice or shared your stories! I was amazed how much better I felt after writing my blog, I expressed my feelings and no longer just thought them in my head, then when I read all of your comments and stories I felt SO NORMAL again! I couldn't belive how many of you are/were going through the same thing or something so similar, it was very comforting to hear other people experiences. Someone also suggested that I let my husband read what I had wrote in the blog, so I did and he was amazed that I had been feeling that way and keeping a lot of it hidden. Since then we (my husband and I) have been doing a lot of talking and it is really helping our relationship and parenting. I still feel that I am probably suffering from some type of PPD, but just getting it out there and talking about it has helped A LOT! I got to the Dr. in 1 week for my Mirena check-up, and I have decided to wait until then to mention my depression issues, unless something gets way worse by then. Again, I want to THANK all of you from the bottom of my heart for taking the time to comment on my blog...you really did help me get through this and that means a lot to me! I just hope that I can be of help to all of you in the future if it's needed!

One thing that I have decided to do is write blogs about the HAPPY things in my life....so hopefully you can read about some of the silly things that happen to me - it's the small things that count! Sleep tight everyone!
