09-3-2009 - 12 week scan

My mood while writing this blog:
In pain

Hi all,

Hope your all feeling ok today... Im not!! Woke up this morning after a pretty much sleepless night with severe abdominal pains and a headache soooooo bad i could barely lift my head..Been suffering cramps and bad headaches for couple weeks now but took it as part and parcel of early pregnancy symptoms... Was in so much pain this morning i rang the maternity hospital and they told me to come straight in... Got in and was sent for scan - baby is fine.. is growing and moving away so no worries there (thank god) - Went back into admissions and had urine tested,,i have a severe kidney infection which the doctor said it also causing headaches (who'd have thought headaches wud come from kidney infection),, i must have had the kidney infection since my last scan 2 weeks ago even though doc said my urine was clear!! So im now on antibiotics, painkillers and had to start on iron tablets.... Taking today off work as i dont want to be sitting there for 4 hours listening to the phone ringing while i have his headache (painkillers still not kicked in even though i took them 2 hours ago.............................

The only good thing to come outta it is a got another scan so got to see baby again...YAY!!! Put pic up so have a look and let me know what you think

I hope you feel better soon. It's great that you got to have an ultrasound though. I forgot that they still have such a large head at 12 weeks. Very cute though. :-) Do you know if that's a hand or the cord up at the top?
