29-9-2009 - Enuf All Ready

My mood while writing this blog: Aggravates

As most of you know I was admitted into the hospital 3 weeks ago for a kidney stone/infection. I was kept over nite and sent home the next day with pain meds. Well after a few days the pain subsided but never fully went away. I figured my body just needed time to heal.

Anyway the pain is slowly getting worse again- so at my OB appt on Friday I mentioned it to my doctor (at the practice I go to there are 4 different docs and as an OB patient I am required to see them all) The Dr I had happened to be the one I really dont care for. She kind of blows everything off. She tested my urine & said my white cell count was high and that there was protein in my urine.. Annnnd then just sent me on my and said to keep an eye on it... WTF?

I called Monday for my urine culture results and they were like "well the good news is there is no infection" Yea I get that, it doesnt feel like an infection it feels like a stone- duh! Maybe I was just talking to myself when I was there??

So here I am "keeping an eye on it" .... and watching it get worse and worse. Grrr! I made an appt with my regular GYN for tomorrow because I would prefer to try to catch it before it gets so bad I end up back in the hospital. (My normal GYN can no longer practice OB because of a botched surgery on his hand, thats why I go to 2 different practices... Sorry a little confusing..)

I guess I am just wondering how long can a stupid kidney stone last??!! Is it possible this is the same one, or a new one all together? I wish my body would stop being such a pain in the ass lol
