| 02-10-2009 - About Time! | My mood while writing this blog:relieved |
Well I finally have some answers :)
I went to see my GYN on Wednsday- He tested my urine and I did have an infection and there was also traces of blood. He did an ultrasound right then and what we found was there are small stones passing thru my kidney.. Most people have these and never even know they are there because they are small enuf to pass freely. Buuut not me lol In my case my uterus is squishing my right kidney and the more it grows the worse it will get and until the stones break free they are causing blockages which = pain and infections and the contractions I have recently started having.
He also said because I had these issues with my last pregnancy it is probably the reason I went into preterm labor not once but twice! I have an appointment with the urologist Monday morning & my Dr said he was going to call and speak to him before I go. He will be reccomending to the urologist that he place a kidney stent in until after I deliver to help keep everything flowing.
I'm kinda nervous about having something like that done while I am pregnant but I know its for the best.
Ooooh and I was also referred to a Maternal Fetal Specialist due to my previous medical condition mixed with the issues I am now having.. Sounds like I will be spending A LOT of time at the Dr's office for the next 5 months...
