| 21-4-2008 - This Weekend | My mood while writing this blog:TIRED! |
32 Weeks and FEELIN GREAT!
ok SO, This weekend was CRAZY! Friday night i had a whole bunch of my family come in-people I hadn't seen in a WHILE but still keep up with. It was my mom, my two aunts, and my two aunts' daughters. We went out to eat and omg, had SO much fun. I haven't had that much fun in a WHILE. My mom came up on wednesday and painted the baby's room...WOW, she did SO much better than I could have. She ALSO, TOTALLY cleaned my house. How AWESOME is that?! I am SO lucky to have a mom like that! My son is so lucky to have such a great grandmother! I could NOT have put together this party for my husband and have it go without a hitch. This was AWESOME. ANYWAY, enough bragging about my totally incredible mom...
So saturday was my shower...my incredible sister-in-law and her friend threw me a shower. It was SO much fun. it was more of a get together and hang out...there werent ANY games-which I am SO thankful for! I know there are some cute games and some of it could be fun, but I HATE being in the spotlight. REALLY hate it. Anyway, there weren't any games, we just opened presents and ate cake and sat around talking. It was soooo calm! I loved it! So, THAT went great and I really got alot of stuff, but NONE of what I really registered for..I'm a little concerned about this...do people not realize that you register for a REASON? "These are the things I still need and this is what I want." Some people just buy cheap crap. I got some blankets that after I washed them FELL APART! haven't even gotten to use them! OMG! ANYWAY, I am HOPING that my next showers are "registry showers." Is that shallow or demanding of me? I don't think so, but maybe I'm wrong? Another reason for buying off the registry is so you don't get duplicates...THEN, that puts the responsibility of going and exchanging/returning the items on the "guest of honor" and it's just a pain! Lol BUT, I DID get some GREAT stuff. A lady I work with didn't buy from the registry, BUT she gave me some REGULAR towels-they were SO CUTE! I've noticed that the baby towels aren't that absorbant, so I'm really glad for the plain towels and washcloths, BUT these are SO cute that I almost don't want to use them! I seriously thought about redecorating my bathroom around these towels. They are THAT cute!
Anyway, THEN we had the "Daddy Party" and WHOA...We did "kabobs" where i cut everything up and people just skewered their own stuff and then we grilled it. It was SO easy and GOOD! There were some of my husband's old buddies (like people he was in diapers with!) and they started drinking and WOW...it got CRAZY. lol I had two of them staying the night with us, so the drinking really didn't end til about 230...and i stayed up to make sure that noone was doing anything they werent supposed to. ANYWAY, I am still SO dead tired!
I POPPED this weekend...apparently I look WAY bigger. I'm not that uncomfortable..my feet and legs are cramping, but I was on my feet all weekend, and my bladder feels like it's CONSTANTLY full. Other than that, I'm doing great. I am just TIRED from a weekend of CRAZINESS! OH! and patrick LOVED his "daddy belt." I made a "tool belt" for daddies...with wipes and diapers and "butt paste" and a respirator mask and goggles. it's great. I'll try to add a picture of it.
