24-6-2008 - Waiting, Whining and Wondering

My mood while writing this blog: Perplexed

Seriously, I thought waiting to put the full core press on ttc would be easier once I was out of school for the summer. WRONG!! At least when I was teaching, I had many, and I mean many other things to occupy my time. Now that I am home, I have been consumed with ttc. Yes, I've tried to keep busy. One can only reorganize her pantry so many times. The house is spotless, the closets have been cleaned out, even the dog has been bathed. So what am I supposed to do?

Well, according to this site's ovulation calendar, today is the day that I can officially test. This is not to say that I haven't tested early...ah hem...way early...many times. So this morning, I slid out of bed and staggered to the bathroom to perform the morning ritual of peeing on a stick. I did, I waited a moment, saw the negative, wrapped the device back up, tossed it in the garbage, got back in bed and thought about whether I would have beer or wine tonight. A while later, I noticed that little used EPT sticking out of the waste basket begging me to unwrapped it. Should I look? I looked and there staring back at me was a faint positive. Now I'm pretty experienced when it comes to hpt's. I do know of this thing called an evaporation line. But I also know that I didn't wait the full recommended 5 minutes before tossing it away.

So could this just be an evaporation line or could it really be a BFP? I thought I was done waiting. I even went out and bought that bottle of Pinot Grigio for heaven's sake!
