28-7-2008 - Poor Collin had gas

Poor Collin had gas pains all along. After taking him to the doctor and her telling me that he was just hungry, to try and feed him some cereal, the problem just got worse! My poor little man would scream for hours! I couldn't get anything done because I was constantly trying to sooth him! I finally said, "That's it, i'm getting him some baby gas drops!" Off to the store I went and he has shown immediate improvement and he is even sleeping, only waking up once at night! AMAZING! Trial and error I guess! It just goes to show that the doctor is not always right. I'm so happy that he is feeling better! Now i'm off to catch up on a gazillion loads of laundry!

Yeah...I try them to and am going to talk with the ped. Friday about getting some more. I can tell her tummy hurts when she flails her legs and screams...poor girl!

Darwin's pediatrician told me, "You can try gas drops, but they may or may not work..." She made it sound like it's 50/50. So I tried them and, like you, noticed immediate improvement. I don't give it to him when he's generally fussy, but if he's fussy and I notice him acting gassy or actually passing gas I will give him the drops and within a half an hour he settles down.
