My mood while writing this blog: surprised and happy!

...BOY!!! i am so surprised and so is my husband! i couldn't believe it when i saw the little scrotum in there, clear as day. it really made me laugh! i think we both suspected it was a girl because we were both so surprised!!! at first he was curled into a little ball and the woman doing the ultrasound was worried that she'd have a hard time measuring. it was so cute though! and almost immediately he started moving around, cooperating so well it was as though he was posing for the camera the entire time! he was waving, touching his mouth, putting his feet up over his head (which really made me laugh), doing a little jig, opening and closing his mouth and moving his head around. one picture we have makes it look like he's having a great time, because his mouth is open and it looks like he's laughing and raising a cheer.
we are both still stunned from the news! i can't believe there's a penis in my belly! hahaha! it's so strange and amazing finding out the sex of your child. it makes it real on this whole different level. like, now i can really start thinking about it.
i'll post the ultrasound photos later when my husband gets home!
the funny thing is, we've been trying to come up with boy's names for months and couldn't think of any. for a girl, we had decided on a name before the child was even conceived...not because of any particular wish to have a girl, but because it's a family name that we both really love. i guess we still have our work cut out for us coming up with a name, but we've got 5 months so plenty of time!
i am so excited!!!!!!!!!

WOW!!!!! Congratulations!!! I cant imagine the excitement you must have felt when they told you (or when you saw "the penis"). I bet it makes it all feel so real.

I wont find out till the 11th (hopefully). Ill let you know what I find out!!
