My mood while writing this blog: helpless |
well, Carys just got over bronchitis! It was a horrible week - then I was so sick, too. thank goodness my mom was here to help, I couldn't keep my eyes open! Carys kept trying to smile - but the bags under her eyes were so dark and swollen. since then, she's become very attached to me. She refuses to go to anyone else and screams if I walk away. Her sleep patterns, which weren't that great to begin with are even worse now. I'm trying to let her cry it out but she just goes hysterical and then clings to me the rest of the day. I used to be able to put her down when drowsy - not anymore! I'm a bit of basketcase when it comes to that - she really cries hysterically. Apart from that, she is doing amazing things. Just turned 6 months and she has 4 teeth we can see. She is crawling everywhere and follows me wherever I go! We just got some of those foam pads that link together to save her knees from the carpet burn and the hardwood. She is trying so hard to stand, when you say "Carys - dance" she starts jumping up and down! so funny. It's the crawling that's freaking me out - she's so little still and attempting to crawl 'up' the furniture. You have to watch her all the time. I picked up some 'crawl to stand' toys at a local consignment store. We spend the first year trying to get them to talk and walk, and the next years telling them to sit down and shut up!! My husband is working afternoons and is not much help. He tries to play with the baby before he goes to work and wonders why she cries for me. He sees her about 20 min a day the last week where he was around all day for a few weeks due to shutdown. It's frustrating - I feel like a single mom. Hopefully I'll be able routine her soon

Tuesday, 22 Jul Ahh how rough! I'm exhausted just from reading that...lol! My baby is going through the seperation anxiety too. I don't have any advice for ya but I am glad your both starting to feel better. It's kinda neat how the good and bad come together like that (sleepless nights but she's crawling, speration anxiety but she can dance)....cool stuff busybeemom -
