08-12-2009 - 41 weeks and indution date

My mood while writing this blog:
Happy to have an end insight

So just gotton home from my 41 week appointment.

All was good. I had a sweep so really hoping that works. Since having it I have had a lot of pain type cramp that I'm hoping truns to something more. Well if the sweep don't work I will be heading in to L&D this Thursaday night they will give me the 1st lot of gel and the rest if needed friday morning:) Yay so happy to have an end insight. I will be holding my little one this weekend:)

Was wondering if anybody eles had a sweep and how it worked for them??? I was 3-4cm dilated 100% effaced so really hoping it works.xxxx

Hey girl just wanted to wish you good luck. I remember how nervous/anxious/thrilled I was to get an induction date.. I thought I was going to be pregnant for the rest of my life haha. Good luck with everything..can't wait to see pics!

Good luck! :) I do hope the sweep works. I had it done at about the same stage. 4cm and 90% effaced and for me it was a no go. It does work for a lot of people though so hang in there!! I went in after my due date and he offered to do another sweep. I said okay, got on the table and changed my mind. lol.... She ended up coming about 48 hours later. :) Anyway, I hope it is working for you. Lots of labor dust coming your way!!!

I think that the sweep should work considering you are already 4cm. My cervix was still completely shut so the sweep didn't work for me but it only took one dose of gel to get things going with DD. GOOD LUCK :)

i did with my second son and had him at 3 the next morning. It worked for me, hopefully for you too!

i was hoping you were off having your baby when i didn't see you on for so long! I had a sweep with my last one and went into labour about 2 days later (still might have been a coincidence)BUT it did start moving things along. I started having contractions (not horrible ones) but once it started, it was a good labour let me tell you. I wish yours is the same!

~*If your 3-4cms then why the gel? I thought you only did that if you weren't dialated hmm I guess learn something new everyday! Good luck tho hun can't wait to see pics!! Also I had a sweep with 2 of my 5 children and it worked only once! The one it didn't work with I was already 5cms for 2 weeks so I dunno I had it done 4 times with her and all it did was make me cramp! GOOD LUCK labor dust to u hun!*~

I had 2 sweeps done, the first one didnt work but the second one did! I had the sweep and then i was having contractions but they were all over the place by the end of the night i was in hospital having my son! Hope all goes well for you and your little bundle shows soon! :)

fingers sooooooo crossed 4 u hun. I had 4 sweeps with my last & none of them worked for me exept to bring on more stop n starts. But my uterus was still hard and quite far back & i was only 2cms so yr further then i was already. good luck hun, i know others its worked for. My neighbour had a sweep at bout 10am. midday her waters broke & baby was born at 4.30pm so u neva know lol
