My mood while writing this blog: FEED UP AND WORRIED |
So a few weeks back my little girl Alice had a case of the chicken pox:( I was worried little man maybe born and catch them:( Thankfuly that wasn't the case but now 14 days later my 9yr old son has them. This means if the baby comes now I will need to go stay at my mums a week or so as I just dont wanna take a chance. Baby is due Tuesday and his chicken pox have only been up since last night:( He will hate not being able to visit at the hospital. My son also has Aspergers a type of autism so i'm hoping he deals with the whole thing ok. My mum only lives a few streets away so aleast thats something.Well thats all ladies. Thanks for reading

Wednesday, 25 Nov I am so sorry to hear that your son has chicken pox...do you know how long they are contagious I thought it was only a few short days...but being safe is better than not. Hopefully everything will go smoothly keep us posted. surprise3 -

Wednesday, 25 Nov Thats aweful!! I found some info for you though. Hope this helps. :)I AM PREGNANT AND WAS EXPOSED. CAN THIS HARM THE BABY?If you had chickenpox previously, or have had the vaccine, then you should be immune and there is virtually no risk to the baby. If you never had chickenpox or the vaccine, then you should contact your obstetrician right away to discuss possible options for preventing the illness.I HAVE A NEWBORN AND MY OLDER CHILD WAS JUST EXPOSED TO CHICKENPOX, OR JUST BROKE OUT WITH CHICKENPOX. WHAT SHOULD I DO?If your older child was exposed, then try and keep the baby away from him during the 7 to 21 day period after exposure. This may be tough, but it's important. Breastfeeding will help provide your baby with some immunity. If your older one breaks out in chickenpox, then just quarantine him until no longer contagious as above. If your newborn infant was exposed before you knew the situation, there is really no way to prevent the illness, yet most likely your newborn carries your immunity to chickenpox. loving-wife-and-mother-of3 -
Wednesday, 25 Nov I wouldnt worry about it i mean you think you would want your child to get chicken pox at a younger age that way when they get older they dont have to worry about it and not having to miss school and stuff like that
