My mood while writing this blog: ok |
Well it's been 5 days since Harley left hospital, touch wood his doing ok:) His just had the last of his medication so hoping he carries on improving. His cough is no where near as bad as it was when we were in hospital, it's now something that comes and goes rather then is contsant like it was. With this his breathing is heaps better and his head bopping has stopped. He does still have small indents in his chest but they are slowly disappearing. His feeds have also started to increase something I'm so pleased about as at 6 weeks old Harley was back down to his birth weight. He has gone from having 40ml to around 70ml and from every 2hrs to every 3hrs. He seems so much happier bless him:) Having been stuck in hospital Harley didn't really have much to smile about ( He started smiling at 4 and & bit weeks ) But on the day we were being discharged I was getting him ready and he didn't stop smiling. All the nurses were all over him saying how lovely his smile was ( it really does light up his big blue eyes ). Since getting home he smiles none stop. Wow I remember my other 2 children when they first smiled but I really don't remember them doing it this much lol. I really only have to look at him and he smiles and talk to him he smiles, pick him up he smiles and so on. Soooo adorable it melts my heart. Seeing him so sick all last week was so hard:( but now seeing him this happy is fantastic! What more could I wish for:) His also making loads of cute baby nosies. I sit chatting with him and he really gives it some lol. His just amazing.
Sadly I got the sickness bug and must of picked it up from the ward we were on as it was going about and as it had got so bad wards in the hospital had to be closed and only parents and carers could enter onto the childrens medical ward. Doctor came out and gave me an injection of anti sickness as it was so outta my control I really was chucking up all over the place. I was really scared Harley would get it and end up back in hospital but I have a feeling his had some form of it when we were in there. I also hope my other two children don't come down with it but it's a bad bug and easy to catch so what can you do but just hope.
Well thanks for reading ladies. Thanking all of you for your kind well wishes for baby Harley. Luv u all, Your great.xxxxx

Monday, 1 Feb I am so glad to hear that he his home. I remember how terrible it was when Logan was in the hospital and as a mom you feel so helpless. But you stayed by his side and let him know how much he's loved. Even when you were not feeling well yourself. I am proud of you. You are such a strong women. No wonder he's a fighter. masonnickey -

Thursday, 28 Jan So sorry to hear Harley was sick... what was it? My baby is just getting over RSV and was hospitalized for a day for observation... it was pretty scary, especially after two 911 calls and ambulance rides to the hospital!! angela32 -

Wednesday, 27 Jan ~*Aww hun I'm sooo glad to hear he is doing better! I know how hard it is with having sick children! 3 of our children were very sick and almost didnt make it! We have a wonderful childrens hosp here! And his weight will come back up in no time! I know that's also hard as my 3 that were sick didnt gain weight at all and around 6 MONTHS old they were SMALLER then thier birth weight so hold ur head up high and keep nursing him back to good health!! Oh and the smiles got to love em huh? No matter what kind of mood I'm in All Jackson has to do is give me that huge ear to ear smile and I break out in giggles!!!*~ brooklyn82 -
Wednesday, 27 Jan So glad to hear that he's improved and getting better by the day. I can't imagine how it feels to have a baby that sick. I know when my daughter had a cold and the sniffles, I cried cause' I felt so helpless. Its a hard thing to do, but I'm sure they always appreciate that we've never left them! Best of luck to you ... proud.mummy.of.3xxx -
