11-8-2008 - my second childs birth

My mood while writing this blog: Ok

thankfully, this is a nice story, pregnancy was the same as the first (very easy) but i was on my own due to the father doing a runner within a week of me telling him he was gonna be a daddy!
my waters broke 2 days before i actually went into labour so i was stopping at my mums house and she was helping me with my 1st son who was then 2, my contractions started around 11pm and i went to a different hospital from last time, i was examined around 5mp to see how far dialated i was and i was already 7cm!
i gave birth in the birthing pool with my mum beside me and it was a wonderful experience, my baby boy weighed in at 7lb 2oz and was a week early and was also born with no pain relief.
this birth couldn't of been more different from the first but i was still terrified that something was gonna go wrong.
my mum looked after my eldest for a weekso i could get used to having my new baby and when i came out of hospital 5 days later, we stayed at her house so i could get used to looking after 2 children on my own but still have the help that i needed.
