| 18-10-2009 - 19-23 Weeks | My mood while writing this blog:Behind |
God I have been slacking on the blog front these days. I really don't want to get too far behind so I better do a quick update. I don't think my last blog included the predicted sex.
I went in for my ultrasound at 19 weeks and it was extrememly painful. Has anyone ever had a painful US before? She kept pressing on my belly with the rolly thing and it killed. I have no idea why. Also the table was like laying on a slab of cement. So anyways it was almost an hour of her doing her thing and I kept asking if she could tell what it was and she kept telling me that the baby was not cooperating. I was getting frustrated by the end and when she called in DH I told him I didn't think we were going to be able to find out that day. Finally after around 15 more minutes of looking the baby uncrossed its legs and it didn't look like their was anything there. We are pretty sure it is a girl. The tech said she was 80% sure it was female. I don't think that is good enough odds to take tags off clothing and toss out receipts. :)
So my sister is due in December and she wasn't going to find out the sex of this baby. She already has a girl and as you know I have a boy so I was really hoping she would have a boy so that we could just swap clothes. Well turns out she had to have an US the other day because her baby was measuring small and she said it was blatently clear that it was a girl. So I guess we will be buying all of the clothes for this baby. I didn't buy hardly anything for Edwin because my oldest sister had a boy and she has given me all of the clothes so buying ALL of the clothes is a foreign idea to me. BTW my sisters baby is fine.
About 4 days after my US my midwife called and told me that she needed to speak to me about the US results. Of course I was worried so I gave her a call. She told me that the placenta appeared to be laying low and they weren't sure if it was previa or not. So she told me I had to be very careful and not have sex for at least 10 weeks until I was 28-32 weeks when I will have another US to see if the placenta has moved up or not. Let's keep our fingers crossed that it does move because I really don't want to have a C section. At least at my next US I should be able to confirm the sex. :)
All of a sudden I have gotten pretty big, just like last time where I went from small to huge overnight it seems. The US results said that this baby is also very big. :( I hope it isn't another mammoth like Edwin was.
So everything is going wells so far. Lots of movement, lots of peeing. The usual. :)
Until next time.
