Ok so I got my cat a couple weeks before I found out I was pregnant. She has tried to hatch the egg ever since. If I lay down she is on my belly it never fails I can't get a minute alone she even cuddles next to my belly at night when I sleep (a good way to get steam rolled by the belly but she doesn't notice) Here lately I think she senses that its almost over and that its not much longer till her egg will hatch. She goes into babies room looks at the crib and meows and runs back to me like is she here yet mom. When I come home I usually find her asleep in the chair in the babies room. If I go to the potty (which is a whole lot lol) she clinbs up on my lap to cuddle me and the belly. So I knew dogs were good at protecting and knowing somethings getting close but I thought cats usually aren't that interested but its almost like she feels like the baby is her lil egg to love and protect. Any of you that have already been moms with cats had anything like this with your baby and does this mean she isn't going to be jealous of the baby like some get.

Thursday, 22 Jan I have four cats and only one of them acts strange. The other 3 are so lazy and relaxed that they don't care, but this one she's the oldest 4 yrs and she has changed so much, she sleeps next to my tummy and whenever I call her name she doesn't stop meawing back!! lol so funny! I hope they will be nice to my little girl! Take Care! xx jccj8882 -
Wednesday, 21 Jan hey
i have 3 cats. and one of them who is my cat my baby is like what ur cat. i cant a minute to myself when im at home and if she cant lay on me she's always next to me. though we dont have the babies room set up yet i have found the she has slept in the rocker. yes i think that they can sense that something is happening. im sure when the baby comes she wil be fine maybe a lil curious at first but once it gets used to having the baby around it will relax. just make sure u still give it the same amount of love as u did before bub is born and things should be ok.
ive had my cat having a slapping war with the baby at one stage n i just laughed but yes she does lay next to me while i am sleeping.
