11-10-2008 - Flying out tomorrow! Keep us in your prayers~

My mood while writing this blog:
Kinda frazzled!!

Hey ladies, keep us in your thoughts tomorrow. We are flying out to Ca which is about 5-7 hrs anyway depending, AND we have a 3 hour layover! So this should be interesting. We won't have the stroller on our layover either since it will have to be checked in. Luckily my hubby will be with me this time. THANK GOD!!! Last time we flew she was about 6 weeks old and I was by myself. I'm gonna try to give her solids at some point tomorrow. (THAT should be interesting!) I just got some Gerber stuff instead of bringing stuff I made. I don't want to have to worry about it. She has been kinda constipated since we started solids so I got some prunes and she makes the FUNNIEST faces with it!! Poor thing, but I think they helped. Anyway, I'm hoping to be able to get back on here a bit more since I'll be at my moms and getting some help. Life has been so hard lately after our car accident. My back has been killing me and she has been so miserable from the teething. So life has not been so good lately, and everything is upside down with this teething stuff! I've been trying really hard to not be depressed about it, but it's been hard. Hubby will be gone for the 2 weeks after he drops us off in Ca for school stuff. So I'm gonna miss him, but it will be so nice to get a little break from life here. It has been sooooo hot lately and so humid! Ugh! I have been so stressed and so frazzled and so completely overwhelmed and I have not been on here at all to vent. So unlike me! But things have just been too crazy to even be on the computer.

Anyway, I hope to check in here when things unwind a bit after I get to my parents. It will be so nice to see them again. We live too far away! It's not good. And it will be nice to see my old friends again. None of my friends back home have seen the baby yet, so it will be nice to show her off and get together with all my friends from HS and have all our babies play together. We moved away 2 yrs ago in Aug and it's been hard to be away from everyone. It's beautiful here, but there is a price to pay to live in paradise! (And it keeps going up with the price of gas!!) I'm not sure it's worth it anymore.

Ugh!

OK, gotta finish packing.

Have a great visit with your parents! Just relax and recoup and enjoy the trip as much as you can while you have your mom to help out.

When we visit Hawaii we always talk about what it would be like to pack up and move over. Our middle son just cried when we've had to leave, begging to just stay there to live:) He was 3,5, and 7 years old when we've visited. It is paradise. We waned to go every other year but if the economy doesn't improve we may have to skip Maui '09!!

Good luck with the flight! I hope that things get easier for you guys. Hang in there, they are bound to go up!

I heard a great saying on a cartoon that my daughter watches. One of the main characters (Ron Stoppable) told the lead villain character (Dr. Drakkin), "When life hands you lemons..." to which Dr. Drakkin replied, "I complain about the lemons!" said in my most villainesque voice. :D
