22-5-2008 - Birth story

ok so the last timei updated was jan 11th!! loooonngg time!! ive been sooo busy.Well lets see where to begin. So i had my baby!!yay!!! obviously!!lol...i went to the doctors on feb 8th for a normal doctors appt. They checked me and i was still 4 cm and 80 effaced...had i been 5 she wouldve sent me to the hospitol..but i wasnt :( so we set up a date for induction ..i was to go to the hospitol on feb 15th at 9am..yay!!! so the morning of the 15th i was up at 6am..i was so nervous that i was actually sick that night...As i was getting ready to walk out the door my doctor called and told me not to bother coming in because the l&d was so packed that there were woman in labor in the waiting room. She told me that maybe sunday or monday she would get me in. BS!!! but i took it upon my self to calkl the hospitol every 3 hrs to see if any new rooms opened. The doctor on shift told me that if she hadnt called by the end of her shift at 7p to plan on coming in sat morning at 8am for a room. i still called every 3 hrs...i had called her at 3p..her shift was to end at 6 and she told me it didnt look good but to call her at 6. i was debating on wether to call because i knew i would have to wait till morning.but than i was like well maybe i should. well 5:55 pm and the doctor calls and tells me to come in!!!! i was soooo excited. so i get there at like 6 20..get in my room at 7 and sit and wait for them to check me..still 4 cm but now 90 effaced. so they hooked me up to pitocin at 8pm.it wasnt to bad because i had been in preterm labor for 2 months and these were the type of contractions i was having so they were nothing. They came in to break my waters at 11pm and that made me 5 cm. they asked me if i wanted an epi and i said no i can handleit for now...bad bad choice. by 12 i was in so much pain and the contractions werent even coming down it was one right after another it was horrible!! so i got the epi..and would you believe through the whole process i didnt have one contaction!! it was amazing.at 1245 i was just getting ready to roll over and relax and take a nap when all of a sudden i was like man i feel like i have to poop...and everyone in the room was like oh my..they went and got the docs and they checked me and i was 10cm..so i went from 5-10 in 45 minutes...i started pushing at 1. but everytime i would push he rocked under my pelvis than went back up..so i decided to take a break and not push through the next couple. i think maybe or 6 contractions later and the head was down and past my pelvis...so me relaxing and not doing anything made me go faster. so i pushed for about an hour and at 4 16 am on feb 16th my son was born...a big healthy 9lbs 10 oz 21 1/2 in long. it was amazing.he was born on my parents anniversary..so now every year for their anniversary i dont have to get them anything because i gave them their 1st grandchild!! I ended up tearing pretty bad on the outside and on the inside. My little man never left my room only to get circumcised. i left the next day at 2pm because the baby only has to be 24 hrs old and pass all the tests in order to go and he was fine.

14 weeks later and mylittle man is now 18 1/2 pds and 26 in...its crazy how fast its gone by..hes talking and laughing now i love it..hes also teething too..poor little guy. but its been so great and im cheerising evey minute of it..its a blast..its very tiring but i love it!! ok well thats enough update for now...thanks for reading!!
