17-7-2008 - More contractions...

My mood while writing this blog: Ok

Jan 11th 2008

So my docs appt wasnt till today but i went in yesterday for a nst and to have my cervix checked because i was up all night having contractions...super fun....so i got there at 1045 and i was on the nst for 40 minutes!!!!! and we failed :( he wasnt moving as much as they would like so they had me go get lunch and than come back at 1 for an ultrasound...so i did...and thankfully he passed with flying colors!!!! and hes measuring big...37 weeks big....6pds big!!!!! and im only 34 weeks!!! dear lord help me if i have a 10pd baby....but i stopped my shot and my contraction meds. The doctor checked my cervix and im 1cm dilated and 50 effaced...anyday now they said because 1) we knew i wasnt gonna make it to my due date due to my incompetent cervix and 2) the shots that i stopped were helping my cervix stay closed...but im not on anything now...so who knows how fast my cervix will open....and since 3pm yesterday ive been having contractions..they are starting to gat a little painful now...traveling around into my back.....i want to hold out for 1 more week...keep him in there an extra week that way when hes born they can place him on my chest....anything before that they will take him away and check him first and than bring him to me.... but i am past the point of him being in the nicu so im SUPER happy about that!!!! So yeah fingers crossed he stays in until 35 weeks!!!! ill keep updating.....bye for now!
