| 22-9-2009 - 11 months & change with some updates & BIG NEWS! | My mood while writing this blog:happy & tired |
ok so it has been awhile since i have done an update, actually i dont come on here much anymore because im so busy so i dont even know if anyone will read this, but i feel good when i write things out so i am going to anyways :) and fyi in advance, im NOT pregnant lol (just felt like i needed to add that so it wasnt expected with the whole BIG NEWS! comment in the title)
Journey is now 11 months and change, her first birthday is rapidly approaching. I was thinking about getting her one of those ball pits but we dont have a ton of room so i guess i might look and see what they have to offer in the way of sizes. I havent weighed or measured her recently but my best guess is she is about 23 pounds and probably around 28 inches, maybe 29.
We have some new words in the vocabulary, now she says mama, ama (grandma), dada (dog), up, wa (water), yay, and sometimes hi. She waves, claps and points at everything. And can now not only stand without any assistance but can go from a sitting to a standing postion without assistance We are squeezing the last of our time out of the jolly jumper before it gets given away to my best friend who is now pregnant (yay).
Now for the BIG NEWS. This past weekend, Journey took her first steps!!!!!!!!!!!! Just one the first time and then two but it is quite a start and i am SO EXCITED and PROUD of my smart baby. She hasnt taken more than the two but she is taking one or two steps more and more these last few days. I know it wont be long until she is full out running. If she keeps with the pace she has set for learning other things she will be walking in the next week to two weeks and have it mastered.
I cant believe how fast this past year has gone, and soon, my baby will be my toddler.
I have finally decided on exactly what i want for a tatoo (i have none as of right now) and I am committed to getting it done now that I have the design done. I dont have the drawing on here but its cute, and ofcourse it relates to Journey (for me, there is nothing else to have tattoo'd permanently on my body) so i am excited for that as well. I cant afford to get it done right now, but soon :)
School is going really well, although very busy. I am more exhausted than usual but I love class. The people are great and I have alot of fun, I am learning alot. And it is going by quickly.
Luckily for me, Journey has (hopefully its a new pattern) FINALLY decided she is ready to sleep through the night, she has slept through for the last 5 nights which is nice considering she has only slept through randomly, 4 times, in the last year. I never believed in forcing her to learn how to sleep, and I'm glad i let her do it in her own time, we are still co-sleeping and i wouldnt have it any other way.
People are shocked when they hear that i am *gasp* STILL (insert eye roll here) breastfeeding my almost one year old daughter. We both still enjoy it and i am PROUD to still be giving her the best thing. We have no plans to stop in the immediate future. She also drinks lactose free milk during the day while she is away from me, she has been less gassy and happier in the evenings since I made the switch. I used to have major problems with dairy when I was a kid, so I dont know if she has the same thing, but she is happy on the lactose free milk so imo its worth the extra $1.
Anyways, I do believe its bedtime while I have the opportunity.
Thanks if you read this. :)
