OK....so I went to my Dr. appt on Monday with the man here in my hometown, and he was to measure my cervical lenght.....when I went the last time 2 weeks ago it was measuring at 3.4cm, and was average. This time when I went it was only measuring anywhere from 2.2cm-2.5cm. Pretty big change, the Dr. here was a little alarmed and concerned. He kinda found it hard to belive that I haven't felt any conctactions yet. He called my high risk Dr and she told me just to keep my next appt, here in 2 weeks and continue what I've been doing. Which all sounded really good!! But I'm still worried, I think that it sounds like a pretty big deal. I've googled it and found out from a few different sites --- in my own words --- that 2.5cm is right about the line where the Dr. steps in and puts ppl on bedrest/steroids/meds to prevent preterm labor and to make the baby stronger so if preterm labor does happen the babys lungs are stronger. I have been told about the steroids and that I would be a good canidate for them, for ALONG TIME now, ever since I found out I was pregnant, they have told me about the steroids. I hate doctors and am more of a natural type of person but I am totally for getting the steroids, I have been from the start, I just wish that sense my cervix has gotten a lot shorter in a short period of time they would just start me on them now. But what do I know right?? Another thing that I am worried about is that I bartend and waitress for work....I work at a SportsBar for lunch during the week, and am on my feet everyday for at least 5 hours running around and carrying heavy plates (no trays or anything, just plates) I've been feeling GREAT and haven't had any problems with work at all!!! I do walk alot too after work, just because I find it hard to sit- I feel squashed from my butt to my boobs and when I am standing or walking I feel better and more streched out!! I am just hoping that I won't have to be put on bedrest!! I know that if the Dr. says so, it will be for the better, but I'm just not used to doing nothing....I have no idea what I will do. Not only that I was really wanting to get a little more money saved up before we have the baby, I know that my husband will make enough but I just like to have some saved up for unexpected things. I think that he is starting to get worried about him making engouh money because lately he has been filling out apps online and stuff and looking for a job that pays more, which I don't care, I think the company he works for now treats him good and he makes alright money....but I guess its just a new dad thing, I don't know. Well anyways I'll let everyone know more when I know more :)
P/S I don't smoke like the little guy in the picture, I just thought it was cute lol
