| 04-9-2009 - Never Felt Better | My mood while writing this blog:Happy |
Well its been about 3 1/2 months now since Silas was born. It seems like its gone by really fast, but then again it seems like we have had him forever. I'm still staying at home with him, and I love it! I do seem to keep busy with errands and I've helped at a few consignment sales and I keep in touch with a few neighbors and a couple friends. I am still breastfeeding and its going great!! I don't even have to get up at night to feed him, I'll put him in his bassinet and he will sleep there till about 4ish and he doesn't wake up but just fusses cause he wants some milk..so I just put him in bed with us and I feed him laying down, and I don't even know when he finshes or nothing, I am basically sleeping through the night. I don't know what I would do if I had to get up and get a bottle made!! I give props to people who do, cause that doens't sound like fun to me :) I want to keep him on my milk as long as I feel nesscary. I know they say a year, but I'll just see how he does, I think that when he is ready for something else I will know so I'm not setting a date or anything. I've been giving him cereal for about a month now from a spoon. He just sucks it right off the spoon, he does really well at it, I was so suprised. I want to start some veggies soon, I just need to get around to doing it. I hope he takes the veggies because I've been putting a tad bit of sugar in the Whole Wheat ceareal I've been giving him so he will like the taste of it, but I guess hes gotta learn sometime to eat his veggies. :)
As for rolling over and more of that type of develoment he isn't quite there yet. He has rolled over from his back to tummy a few times, but its just by accident. He has gone from his tummy to back a couple times also, but still he doesn't relize that he is doing it himself...he just mainly gets scared when he does it. We will get there with time.
As for me and my husband, we are great. I actually didn't heal very fast as I tore. I ended up with 3 stiches downward and then 3 stiches on the side. --Don't ask, I was TRULEY freaked out by the whole deal. I tired not to look and just to take care of myself the best I could. But the poor husband was left without for quite awhile. But I'd say when we did start back up, we never had better!! :) I'm not sure what it is, but its going good!!!! He is helps me out alot with Silas, and is starting to learn more of his needs. I think there was some feelings that he had for awhile that Silas just liked me, and only wanted me. I think it was mostly because I am EBF and I do stay at home with him, so I think he felt kinda left out. I think those feelings passed a little when we started being intimate again, making him feel like he is giving a little too or something -- I don't know. So all in all its been good for us.
I hope that everyone is loving their new babies and motherhood. Let me know how things are with you all! Take Care
I did put up some new pictures if you guys want to check them out!!
