| 07-11-2009 - Entering the 10th week | My mood while writing this blog:Hungry |
Well, yesterday was the completion of my 9th week, so I'm in my 10th week now. :) I'm definitely showing a little bit, which has me kinda....wondering. I am pretty skinny, but this being my first pregnancy, it's just odd. I've also developed this lovely thing where if I go for 2-3 hours without eating, I get shaky and get hunger pains. Just about every food on the planet looks good. Heck, I just ate and an hour later, I can feel that I'm starting to get the hunger pains again. Luckily the headaches and extreme fatigue have gone down a little bit, but not by much. I can't wait for the first trimester to be over! :) Three more weeks...
Waiting for insurance to come through....have been uninsured for the last several years due to money reasons, but now we're pretty stable and with the pregnancy we had no choice but to find an insurance provider that would, well, provide. Probably another two weeks before I'll know. I sent it out...Monday, I think. They say that it takes about 15 days from the time it arrives at their office to process. God, I hope they don't refuse us. They shouldn't, though. My husband and I are both very healthy (and it said on the last page, "pregnancy and pregnancy related complications are not scored and should not be written down", so I guess they don't care if I'm pregnant). I just can't wait to go in and get an ultrasound, and to hear my baby's heartbeat. Heck, by the time the insurance comes through, I pick a doctor, and we get the appointment set up, I'll probably be 16-18 weeks anyway! I guess I'll learn everything in one fell swoop. Probably better that way, anyway...saves money, I suppose.
Got my first pair of true pregnancy pants at this maternity store at the mall....SO COMFY. I hate having anything across my belly right now, it's so uncomfortable. But the lady made me feel pretty stupid since I'm not that far along. I can't wait to save up some money to get a few more pairs, even if I do have to deal with the annoying lady. :P
Well, the hubby and I are going to make dinner tonight for the family, and I'm looking forward to that too.
