I have the worst cold right now....I feel like I'm dying.

It started about a week ago with a plugged nose, nothing really else...then a few days ago it migrated into full-on sinus congestion and a sore throat (from breathing through my mouth at night). I've used two boxes of tissues in the last two days and I'm working on my third. I've now developed a dry cough (so annoying...I can't even cough up any of the crap that's CAUSING me to cough) and that made me gag this morning. It's so weird...I've always had a sensitive gag reflex, but not to this point. I gag at the slightest thing these days. It's really annoying, because nothing (not even stomach acid) comes up. It's just gagging for no reason.

Now my nose is crusty and it refuses to expel the mucus properly. It's aaaalllll going down my throat, and that makes me, you guessed it, nauseous. It's really hard to swallow and I can't cough ANY of it up. When I do manage to blow it out of my nose, as of this morning it's thick and green.

I've been treating it with about 4 showers a day (for the steam), Vick's, drinking as much water as I can stand, saline nasal spray, and either Sudafed or Dimetapp when I just can't stand it anymore (no more than once a day, approved by my doc). Nothing really helps...the Vick's sort of does, and the showers make me feel worse but allow me to cough up some of the crap in my lungs...

I just feel horrible. I'm starting to suspect a sinus infection, so I might go in to the doctor...
