| 25-2-2010 - 25-week update | My mood while writing this blog:Pretty good |
So, today is the first day of my 25th week. I can't believe how big Balian and I are getting! My stomach officially impedes everything I try to do now - bending over has become an exercise in creativity, sleeping has become an exercise in futility, simply walking exhausts me, and I have nightly heartburn and nausea. I'm not used to carrying around an extra 15lbs! Not that I've been able to weigh myself lately, considering that my stepfather is on a night work schedule, which means from 7am to 4:30pm everyone in the house has to be quiet. The scale is in their room (ours is still packed away), so I can't look at my weight until after 5, and by then I always forget. But I think it's around 15lbs.
Things have been pretty good lately although I'm getting a bit nervous about the military thing. They still haven't called. Hubby isn't worried - the Sergeant he was talking to quoted three weeks and it's only been two and a half. But I can tell that my mother and stepfather are wanting to ask what our plans are for getting out of their house before the baby is born. We haven't told them that he's actively trying to get back in. Luckily, a position in the local nuclear power plant (where my stepfather and everyone else who can afford to live well in this town works) is going to be opening up in the next month, so if the military falls through for the third time, he can maybe get a job there and we'll be golden. The priority is getting him out of that damn cable guy job! He hates it and it doesn't pay near what they promised.
I got my new camera lens yesterday (it's awesome, but not what I expected), and this weekend I have a model shoot. I'm talking to a few other models as well. Gonna try to get back into my photography. :) That's exciting. Kind of old news, but we got our tax return and got me a used car with it, so I'm actually mobile for the first time since my Focus broke down a year and a half ago. That's a huge relief, especially if there's an emergency, I won't have to work around my mom's schedule to borrow her car.
All in all things are going pretty smoothly! Aside from the normal pregnancy woes, it seems like we're right on track with getting our lives together. But right now, both my stomach and Balian are yelling at me to get some lunch, so, see ya!
