08-9-2008 - ER Visit Due To Baby Problems

My mood while writing this blog: Relieved!

So I woke up during the night with slight pain.. Didn’t think anything of it... so I woke up and I felt pain down in my pelvic area... still didn’t think anything of it. So I went off to church with my family and there was some pain and tightening of my stomach down there and I just thought it was because I was sitting in an odd position. so I tried shifting around.. and felt my stomach tightening and just figured it was Braxton hicks.

So anyways I went off to work and was lifting some light stuff like milk and what not then started having pain and getting kinda hot flashes and feeling weak, so I called my dr and he said go into labor and delivery...

So I had to hurry to find someone to come into work and take over and luckily I did and I was off the L&D. so I picked up my mom and we went. When I got there they hooked me and the baby up to a monitor and had trouble finding his heart beat cause she said "oh someone is having a party in there" I just kinda looked at her and laughed.

Anyways they found his heart beat and hook us up to the monitor and the head dr dude came and said wow yep those are contractions.. Are you not feeling them? And I said nope... so they took a swab to check to see if this baby is coming with in the next two weeks and so I had to sit and wait for the test to come back. And when it finally did it was neg.

So they gave me a shot to stop the contractions and had me stay there for another half hour then they finally let me go home.

The only part that sucks is I am only allowed to get up for the bathroom and to shower... AND THAT SUCKS CAUSE I HATE SITTING AROUND.. I LIKE TO MOVE AROUND AND BEING ACTIVE... SO WE SHALL SEE HOW THIS GOES.

Anyways I go back to the dr on Thursday and they will go from there.

But the baby and I are ok :D
