hey so is anyone planning on "trying" to induce labor by sex, or walking a lot, or anything like that before their baby is due? or are you all just going to let nature take its course and when they come they come?

i tried everything to avoid being induced by hospital. i drank rasberry tea, accupressure points, sex, walking, boat rides for the bumps, hot baths he was so late i had to be induced but try it all x

Well I am already set to be induced 10 days earlier than my original due date because of gestational diabetes. My EDD is Oct. 20th and 2 weeks today, on Oct. 10th, I am supposed to be induced. But my doctor has advised me to walk ALOT to see if she will come on her own plus she hasn't dropped yet and we need to get her down. Don't think I'll try anything else - just the walking.

hell yes I'm trying to induce my self... don't get me wrong, I know we are suppose to wait until the baby is ready but I'm in sooooooooooo much pain, my back, hips and boobs are killing me, I am going to start trying in 2 weeks when i'm 36 wks along!!

With my first daughter I tried it all: pineapple, raspberry tea, nipple stimulation, sex, walking, spicy food, etc, NOTHING worked. She was 3 days late and I had her by emergency C-section. They were going to try to induce me and when they checked me I wasn't dilated AT ALL so all that effort did nothigg. Her heart dropped too much so I ended up with the C-section.

would it be wrong to want to try to walk my way into labor? or induce myself?
