23-11-2008 - Being Interviewed For An Adoption Documentary On PBS!

My mood while writing this blog:
Excited!

So as you all know Bo was adopted, well about a week after he was born, the adoption agency i went through to find Bo's new parents called and said there was a man from PBS doing a documentary on adoption and had called asking if there were any birth mothers who wanted to share their story with PBS. And the lady said that i would be perfect to tell my story. so they are coming up on wed. to ask me how i came about choosing adoption, which i dont think i told you all this, but i was adopted from birth, so i think that is why bringing myself to chose to have Bo adopt was a lot easier cause i understood how he would have a better life, and stuff like that. so they are going to interview me for about 45mins, then they are going to film me doing a video chat with Bo, and his new family. so that should be exciting. and they are going up to film him and his new family on tuesday! I'm not sure when its going to air on tv... but i will for sure let you all know!

you brave girl. I couldnt do it. I dont think i could put my child up for addoption. But like you say for a better life i might. I think your wonderful to of done such a hard but amasing thing. Your not only given him a better life but the family who adopted him. All the best.

Thats sooo cool! definatly tell us when it will air, i will definatly be watching! Again that is really cool... prolly will make other people who are considering adopting their child to another familys decision a little easier... =)
