01-1-2009 - dumb night

My mood while writing this blog: Ok

Well, tonight we finally got a baby sitter and went to the movies. I was looking forward to it all day... we dont get the chance to go out very often. Usually im at home looking after the kids, or we take at he kids with us, so we dont really get any time to ourselves. I gave Kai his bath this afternoon so it was one less thing i would have to do before we went, made sure the kids had tea, put kai to bed. When my brother got here we took off. I was so happy to be going out. We got to the movies and went to buy our tickets... well the one we really wanted to see was full. So i suggested going to cinima about 10 minutes drive away to see if it was playing there. So we got back in the car and went to the other cinima. When we got there my partner realised his wallet was missing. He started stressing out big time, so we got back in the car and drove back to the first cinima to look for it. I waited in the car while he raced in... there was 3 flights of stairs to climb and no elevator and these days im finding it hard to walk around the shopping center let alone 3 flight s of stairs. When he got back to the car i could tell by the look on his face that he didnt find it. So we went home. He had a look in the place he usually leaves his wallet and there it was... thank goodness. So that was my dumb night. The last time we went out togethere was probably about 6 months ago. Sometime s i feel like i just need time out, and i thought i would have that tonight, and instead it was just disappointment and stress. We havent got long untill bub is here now... and when he come s it will be a long time before we get the chance to have a little time to ourselves again. So in the next few weeks i think we should try again... maybe book our tickets the day before... maybe we should go gold class! I really think we both need it.
