Benjamin is 10 weeks old today and I'm finally starting to enjoy motherhood. He's still demanding but its not so bad now. I can put him in his bouncer for a good 30 mins before he starts to fuss, as long as he has Cartoon Network to watch :) I've found I can get a lot done in 30 mins. Breastfeeding still hurts but its getting better. The past few days I've woken up to Benjamin's smiling face and its just so awesome. Last Monday night I made him laugh for the very first time. My sister and dad have made him laugh, too. He's becoming an actual little person. His face lights up when he sees me and that is one thing no one else will have with him. Yeah he smiles at other people but there is a different sparkle in his eye when he sees me. He is MY son. I've decided that I no longer care what the house looks like, as long as mine and Benjamin's laundry is done and the dishes then that's enough. Ben can do his own laundry and make his own food. My name isn't on the house so if Ben wants it clean he can do it, its HIS house. I now have something much more important to focus on. Singing songs and reading stories definitely come first.
