my nipples are swollen and they are extra dry..... is this normal??

not swollen, but very itchy!! and tender when I itch; the best thing I could compare it to when explaining this to my husband is like itching a sunburn...but we all know it's different =)

Yes, both are normal and will get worse after you have your baby, especailly if you decide to nurse. I recommend getting some Lansinoh nipple cream. It can be found in the baby section, usually by the bottles and such. It's super great for keeping them moisturized and preventing cracking and peeling.

I use cocoa butter lotion! My bbs are not my own these days either!! LOL I showed them to my best friend (she is a baby making professional! lol) and she said (to my horror) "OH MY GOD!! Your nipples are HUGE!!" LOL So I have resigned myself to the fact that they are gonna do their own thing until this baby comes!!
